Happy Virgin Hero Week everyone! Yes, I just made this up but I totally think it should be a holiday, don’t you all?
If you guys have been reading the blog this past week you know I am crazy excited to kick off the first theme week at Joyfully Jay. Virgin heroes are one of my all time favorite romance tropes. I decided it would be fun to dedicate a whole week to nothing but those sweet boys experiencing the wonder of their first time.
So I have lined up a bunch of fun stuff that I hope you all will enjoy. Here is what we have planned:
On Monday I will share my thoughts on why I love virgin heroes and give a list of some of my favorite stories. I hope that you all will join in and share your favorites too.
Also on Monday I will be reviewing a short story by Missy Welsh called You and a Billion Blue Tiles. This was part of the Goodreads M/M Romance Hot Summer Days event that I mentioned here before, and I fell in love with the story the first time I read it.
On Tuesday I have a review for Blacque/Blue by Belinda McBride. It is a contemporary story centered around a hot virgin werewolf and a sexy vampire.
Also on Tuesday I’m reviewing Finding Home by Cameron Dane about private investigators and best friends who grow into more.
On Wednesday I will review The Closer You Get by L.A. Witt, the follow up to The Distance Between Us which I reviewed last week. This time Kieran gets his own book, complete with his very own virgin! (and if you want a teaser, check out the excerpt I ran last week)
Then on Thursday I am super excited that L.A. Witt will be guest blogging and sharing her thoughts about the virgin hero and giving us some author perspective. She is also generously donating a copy of BOTH The Distance Between Us and The Closer You Get to one lucky commenter!
And finally, on Friday I am reviewing Seducing Stephen by Bonnie Dee and Summer Devon, a historical novella featuring a virgin university student and a more experienced lord.
I am so looking forward to sharing a fun week with you all! So Happy Virgin Hero Week you guys!
>I loved Finding Home! -that whole series was very good- but I haven’t read the other books you will be reviewing. I have a feeling that my TBR pile is going to be huge by the end of the week!
>Oh good, I am glad I have some new stuff up there! Thanks for the promo on your blog!
>I loved Blacque/Bleu and Finding Home, those were some Awesome Reads. Blacque/Bleu is my fave list of 2011!
Excited about virgins (teehee)
