grl blog tourToday I am so pleased to welcome Katey Hawthorne to Joyfully Jay. Katey is here as part of the GRL Blog Tour to talk to us about her latest release, Back to the Sky, the second book in her Elementals series. She has also brought along a nicely dirty excerpt (NSFW, 18+), as well as a great giveaway. Please join me in giving Katey a big welcome!

It’s almost GRL time! Are you pumped? I am pumped. I haven’t been to California since I was in college some… uh, more years ago than I expected, wow.

Anyhow, those of you that are going, I cannot wait to see you there. Those of you who are not, we’ll give you all the ridiculous twitter and tumblr updates we can to make you feel like part of the party too, I promise.

Right though, since I just had a book out, I’m officially gonna make this stop part of by BACK TO THE SKY Blog Tour–Good idea, Jay! It’s a strange ‘lil book, part of my series of “Elementals”, which exist somewhere in a murky realm between contemporary and paranormal.

But mainly romance. Always romance, as I hope the following excerpt will sufficiently illustrate. Warning: it’s super duper NSFW, y’all.

Excerpt

“No thinking. Just being.” Geordie kissed him long and hard, like there wasn’t an entire room full of partying twentysomethings surrounding them.

“Let’s go be in a room with the door shut,” Zane suggested once it was impossible to hide his erection anymore. Kissing in a room full of people was weird enough—or would’ve been if he weren’t drunk. Showing them his massive boner for Geordie? Nah, man.

They set down their drinks and got halfway down the hall before Zane couldn’t take it anymore. He tugged Geordie into the nearest doorway—a huge bathroom with a Jacuzzi tub and walk-in shower, all travertine and glass—and shoved the door shut. Then he pinned Geordie’s back to it, pushing hard so it made a hollow thump, and Geordie huffed out a sigh. He grabbed for Zane’s shirt, fingers curling tight in it like he’d tear it right off.

“It’s like you’re a mind reader, man,” Geordie said.

“It wasn’t my mind that gave me the idea.” Zane went for Geordie’s mouth again, those pretty, delicious lips, like sugar and mint and lemon now, like rum and parties and Geordie giving himself away to everyone.

Geordie kissed back like he was starving for it, one hand tugging at Zane’s zipper while the other reached inside to feel up his dick. He moaned into Zane’s mouth, pressed his hard cock against the long muscle of Zane’s thigh. When he didn’t move, Zane shifted his leg, rubbing Geordie off against it.

Why wouldn’t he take it? Why did he wait? Had he just been drunk that night he’d climbed into Zane’s lap and said he wanted to lick him? Zane knew he had it in him, either way…so why?

Zane mumbled into Geordie’s lips, “They’re just eating you alive.”

Unsurprisingly, Geordie seemed to know what he meant. “It’s cool. We’re all just—unh.” Another shift of Zane’s thigh rendered him speechless for a moment. His hands paused, then went back to yanking Zane’s pants down over his ass. “Nothing. Drop in the sea, man.”

“Pretty sure you’re something,” Zane said.

Then he pulled away, tore off his shirt, flung it toward the tub, and applied himself to getting Geordie’s off and sending it in the same direction. All the while, he kissed at Geordie—mouth, neck, face, chest, nipples, shoulders. Dropped Geordie’s cargo shorts, then knelt to help him step out.

Zane looked up, gaze traveling the length of the hyperdefined Adonis belt on Geordie, the long, chiseled lines of muscles and angles of hip bones. He kissed him there, then sucked hard, leaving a large pink mark on the pale skin. Then up. Then over. Marks all over him, Zane using both hands to hold him on either side, keep him against the door when he tried to reach down, pull Zane up, give back.

He moaned and played with Zane’s hair but didn’t say a word. Just touched Zane and watched him and took deep breaths that made his abs tighten and chest heave.

Zane reached between Geordie’s legs and palmed his balls, rubbed at them with his thumb. Geordie’s hips twitched upward, his dick giving a little jump, precum pearling at the tip. Zane sucked on it a little before taking it in all the way, letting Geordie’s cock fill him up until it hit the back of his throat.

“Oh—oh my God,” Geordie said.

Zane slid it back out, tongue flattened against the underside of that delicious dick, lips sealing and caressing. Geordie caught his gaze, and there was something so fucking grateful in those weird silver eyes, above and beyond sex…

Okay, probably not. But fuck it, Zane was willing to get pulled into the whirlwind-summer-romance bullshit, just this once. He felt it. He fuckin’ felt Geordie like crazy. He continued to suck him off, slowly, attention to every little detail, every quiver of muscle or hot little breath. Then, after a little while, he slid Geordie out of his mouth, kissed around the head, let him watch Zane lick and suck him, tease him, appreciate him for a few seconds. And then said, “Tell me what you want, Geordie.”

Geordie’s eyelashes fluttered. His hard pink dick dripped with spit, with a new touch of precum at the tip. “Ah. I…” He swallowed visibly. “What do you—”

“No.” Zane licked at his dickhead, tasting the cum. “If no one else mattered. If you could have anything right now. What would you want me to do? How do you want to come?”

Geordie’s dick jumped against Zane’s lips. Geordie opened his mouth like he’d answer, but instead he just touched Zane’s face carefully. Traced the line of his cheekbone.

“I won’t say no,” Zane said even as he had the thought. It wasn’t so much that he was willing to do any and all things; it was just that he knew with certainty, in that moment, that there was nothing Geordie would want that he couldn’t give him, right there and then. They knew each other, in this respect, well enough. “Just let yourself have the thought. Any thought.”

Finally Geordie said, voice gone breathy, “I really want you to fuck me. I wanna come with you in me.”

Blurb

Back to the Sky cover by Mina CarterRather than spend his first post-college summer on the beach with a hot boy and a margarita, Zane Woodward goes home. While the lectures aimed at getting him to be more respectable like his lawyer father aren’t appreciated, Zane wants to be near his sister and his best friend—both of whom he’s convinced need him.

Enter Geordie Finsen: the Buddhist, blue-haired, stacked house sitter-next-door. Geordie has a penchant for parties, older women who can pay the bills, younger men who can wear him out—and he may or may not be able to control the weather.

While Geordie and his philosophies begin untangling Zane from his own expectations and hang-ups, they bring the two closer and closer. Soon their chemistry flares into a hot and heavy summer romance. But Geordie has hang-ups of his own, including an aversion to getting too attached to anyone or anything. When things get a little too heavy between him and Zane, his instinct to cut loose and run free is tested, and Zane’s plans for a perfect escape of his own might never get off the ground.
