Guest Post and Giveaway: Covet by Yolande Kleinn

Today I am so pleased to welcome Yolande Kleinn to Joyfully Jay. Yolande has come to talk to us about her latest release, Covet. She has also brought along a great tour wide giveaway. Please join me in giving her a big welcome!

The best thing about the start of a relationship—even one as casual as the understanding between Jack and Colin—is the endless realm of possibilities. Obviously the characters can only take one path forward, but that doesn’t mean we have to ignore the rest. Read on for a glimpse into Jack Mason’s fantasies, as he considers the different ways his first time with Colin Sloan might go.

Be warned, there is explicit sexual content ahead.

JACK’S FANTASY #1

Maybe it would be frantic.

The more Jack got to know Colin, the more he recognized something unflappable in his demeanor. Colin worked up to excitement on certain subjects, yeah, but mostly he remained steady and warm. Easy.

It was hard to imagine someone more even-keeled. Harder still to imagine what Colin might be like upset, or angry, or riled for other reasons.

Jack wasn’t one to shy from a challenge though, and he had imagination to spare. He could conjure up plenty of possibilities, dozens of ways to deconstruct that steady temper and turn Colin into a moaning, trembling mess. He could imagine the sounds Colin would make as he came apart beneath Jack’s confident touch.

They would both be desperate when he got Colin naked, and Jack would barely have time to kick his own jeans aside before Colin dragged him down to the bed. Such a rush of needy fumbling between them, and they’d both be breathing hard as Jack slipped between Colin’s thighs. Feverish and hungry for more.

The friction alone would nearly undo them. The perfect slide of their bodies, the carnal heat as they rubbed against each other. Uncoordinated kisses broken at intervals as the need for air became too great, strong hands reaching and clinging with singleminded purpose.

They would grasp eager bruises into each other’s hips, arms, shoulders. They would leave even more eloquent marks where lips and teeth latched on too hard, thoughtless in the moment, careless with each wave of pleasure more powerful than the last.

“More,” Colin would gasp. “Oh God, I need you to fuck me.”

Jack would nearly come in that moment. Moaning, a wild shiver running the length his spine, as he bit down on his lower lip and held himself back from the edge. Colin would be impossibly warm beneath him, narrow hips a perfect fit for Jack’s hands as Jack slid between parted thighs.

Fuck, maybe Colin would already be slick for him. Maybe he saw this coming, prepared in advance, because they would be too desperate to slow down on reaching this point.

Maybe he would breathe a helpless, “Please, Jack.”

And Jack wouldn’t hesitate. There would be fire in Colin’s eyes, fire in his own blood, fire in the arousal twining between them. Perfect understanding and a world of potential packed into this endless instant.

They would breathe in unison when Jack finally fucked forward—a mingled gasp shared between them, loud in the intimate quiet—Colin’s arms tightening around him in that very first moment. Then movement. Deep thrusts as Jack found a rhythm fit for the mounting need beneath his skin. Quick from the start, and then faster with every passing moment.

He would slip one arm beneath Colin, wrap it tight around his waist, hold on hard and desperate. Colin would throw his head back when Jack hit just the right spot inside him, would moan loud and unselfconscious, and the line of his neck would be too tempting. Taut and vulnerable and perfect beneath Jack’s mouth. There would be bruises here, too. Marks from the teasing sting of Jack’s teeth, from hard and claiming kisses.

Jack wouldn’t last long. God, so close even before he fitted himself between Colin’s thighs, and now overwhelmed by sensation. Tight, slick heat around his cock. Colin’s body arching beneath him, meeting every thrust. It’d be a wonder if Jack lasted more than five minutes, but he wouldn’t hold back now.

Colin would moan his name—he would sound incredible—so wrecked and gorgeous. And Jack would speed his pace, as both of them began to move less steadily.

They would come at the same goddamn time, muffling their cries in bare skin. Locked together and holding tightly on. Jack’s pleasure would rise and crest and overcome him, as Colin came apart in his arms.

Blurb

CovetJack Mason—graphic designer and unrepentant player—has never been interested in monogamy. He certainly isn’t looking for romance when he meets Professor Colin Sloan.

Newly single and not looking for anything serious, Colin is intrigued by Jack’s offer of a physical affair with no strings attached. Becoming friends wasn’t part of the plan, but as accidents go, this one’s pretty great.

Peter Mason is Jack’s identical twin. In a long-term relationship himself, Peter tells no one that he’s falling for his brother’s newest favorite, even as the secret creates tension with his girlfriend.

When Peter’s relationship falls apart, he seduces Colin, fully expecting Jack to forgive his transgression. But Jack is keeping secrets too—he hasn’t told even Colin that he’s fallen in love. Suddenly the twins are feuding, and Colin is caught in the middle, blindsided by the revelation that he doesn’t want to choose between them.

Now all three must find a way to share, or they’ll tear each other apart.

Bio

Yolande Kleinn may be a shameless dreamer and a stubborn optimist, but she is also a proud purveyor of erotic romance. Excitable, fastidious, and a little eclectic, she spends every spare moment as far away from reality as possible.

A Minnesotan by both heart and geography, Yolande has plenty of experience weathering tough winters. Her favorite method: distracting herself with warm beverages and even warmer stories. A night spent with a good book is heaven. A morning free to write, with a hot cup of coffee close at hand, is even better.

Thanks for the scenario, and congrats, Yolande. I would think one of the most fun but also challenging things as a writer is to not only imagine different scenarios but to make sure you choose the one that is consistent with the psychology of the characters. – Purple Reader,
