Trying something new, Ryan tells Daniel not to touch himself all week. Daniel thinks it’ll be easy. He always wants to do whatever Ryan asks because it’ll make Ryan happy. Plus, he’s not big on masturbating. But all week long, with every passing day, all Daniel can think about is what he can’t do. And Ryan. Ryan is always on his mind. By the time they get to the weekend, and the spa weekend getaway, Daniel can barely contain himself. When things don’t go quite as he expects, he feels a bit cheated. Until Ryan shows him just how much he cares, and the men decide to admit that what they’ve been doing is dating.

Each story in this serial builds on the last, and this one takes things to a whole new level. First we have the week leading up to the spa getaway. As each day passes, the anticipation grows, helped along by Ryan’s most recent proclamation. I loved the way the author wove both things together, and how the connection between the MCs gets even deeper. And then finally, finally! They admit that what they’ve been doing involves their feelings and that they are, in fact, dating. The payoff here, for me as a reader, and I’m sure for the MCs, was fantastic. It was exactly what it needed to be, for these guys, and I loved it.

When Ryan suggests a new kind of scene, it pushes Daniel past his comfort zone. But in true Daniel fashion, he can’t stop thinking about what Ryan suggested. Daniel only wants to please Ryan; that’s what makes him happy and satisfied. So Daniel wants to try it. And then, when things go well, they take it one step further. Daniel is so far into his headspace that it’s all he can do to hold on, until he gets exactly what he needs.

This installment was intense. Daniel goes outside of his comfort zone, but Ryan is there with him every step of the way. When they finally act on their desires, and actually go through with the scene, I was on the edge of my seat. The author managed to convey every desperate emotion Daniel had. The connection between them is better than ever. I can’t even begin to describe the intensity between them, the way Daniel was on the edge of too much, and how great the payoff was for both of them. I love the way they are continuing to evolve in both their relationship, and in their scenes.

Daniel is getting himself all worked up thinking about adding someone else to his play with Ryan, just for one night. He wants to push the boundaries and expand his experience, but he doesn’t know how Ryan will react when he asks. Of course, Ryan knows exactly where Daniel’s head is at and orchestrates a scene with a friend, Brett, that surpasses all of Daniel’s expectations. And in the process, Daniel learns more about himself and even about their relationship.

Sensual. That’s the first word that comes to mind when I think about this installment in the series. And it’s my favorite one so far. The eroticism in this one is off the charts, and it’s amplified by the deep, intense, amazing connection Daniel and Ryan have. It may seem a little strange that in the story where they add a temporary third, Daniel and Ryan are the closest they’ve been. But believe me when I tell you that the way Ryan understands Daniel, giving him what he needs and wants, and what Ryan gets out of it too, is just wholly amazing. I absolutely love these guys, the way everything between them is building while Daniel, in particular, keeps learning about himself.

I wait with baited breath for the next story in this series, and it’s worth the wait, every single time. And while I can’t wait to see where Daniel and Ryan end up—there are only two stories left—I’m loving the journey they are on. This series is one I recommend wholeheartedly.

  1. I love the simple, straightforward voice the author uses to tell these stories. It’s like a porny Dick and Jane- “See Daniel. See Daniel bend over the couch…!” This series may well end up my favorite read of 2017, really terrific even if you’re not a bdsm fan.

    • It’s definitely got an immediate sense, since it’s in first person.
I like that it gives an intimate look inside Daniel’s head too.

  2. I’ll have to try the first one and see what I think.
