Wow, October was a busy reading month for me.  I read 18 books this month! That ties my personal record from earlier this year.  Crazy!  And the best part is that I read some really amazing books.
You can see everything I reviewed in the archives on my sidebar, but here are some highlights of my favorites.  These are books I read this month, although not all of them have been reviewed during October.
(P.S. These are in rough order of when I read them, not in order of preference)
  • Pretty Monsters by Andrea Speed – This was a really delightful short story and the first in the new Josh of the Damned series.  I will be reviewing this later in the month and Andrea will be here as well for a blog stop, interview, and giveaway.
  • 18% Gray by Anne Tenino – I really liked the futuristic story about two young guys racing to get to freedom from the oppressive anti-gay Red States.  It definitely stayed with me long after the story was over.  I am really looking forward to reading more by this author.
  • Song of Oestend by Marie Sexton – If you have been following my blog you know I went totally crazy for this book.  Loved both Aren and Deacon, loved the setting and world building, the guys totally burned up the page.  This was my favorite book this month.  And thanks again to Marie for stopping by the blog for an interview and sharing an excerpt and giveaway!
  • Barging In by Josephine Myles – This was another new author to me and I just loved the story of party boy Dan and wounded Robin and how they grew throughout the book.
  • The Distance Between Us by L.A. Witt – I loved the dynamic in this book between the three men and the way Kieran’s presence allowed Rhett and Ethan to see their own relationship in a new way. Great story that I couldn’t put down.
  • The Closer You Get by L.A. Witt – This follow-up to The Distance Between Us was a perfect story for Kieran.  It has one of my favorite tropes, the virgin hero, and puts him together with the jaded manwhore.  I love that combination and really loved this book.  Thanks again to L.A. Witt for stopping by the blog during Virgin Hero week and sharing her thoughts on the trope, as well as giving away a copy of both her books.  (And there is still time to enter the giveaway! The contest ends at 11:59 EST on November 11)
  • Dark Soul #1 by Aleksandr Voinov – This dark story of the mafia world kept me thinking long after I was done reading. I am really looking forward to following this story and seeing where it all goes.
  • Blacque/Bleu by Belinda McBride – I picked this book up after seeing lots of chatter on Goodreads and I am really happy I did. I loved this story of the lonely virgin werewolf and the hot and tormented vampire.
  • Seducing Stephen by Bonnie Dee and Summer Devon – This was a reread for me and I liked it even more the second time around.  Great historical featuring a young virgin student and an older partyboy lord.
  • Grown Men by Damon Suede – This was a great science fiction story focusing on two seemingly mismatched heroes who turn out to totally fit together.  I loved it and can’t wait for the next books in the series.  I will be reviewing this book tomorrow and Damon will be visiting the blog for an interview and giveaway on Wednesday.
  • You and a Billion Blue Tiles by Missy Welsh – I loved this short story Welsh wrote for the Goodreads Hot Summer Days event.  Super sweet story of first love turned to lasting love.

Well that’s it for October.  Looking forward to some good books in November!
