OK, you all probably know by now I am a sucker for a good cover. This month had some great ones. I read a lot of books this month (18!) so I had a lot to choose from.  Special kudos to Riptide because so far their stuff has been particularly gorgeous.  So here goes…

Grown Men by Damon Suede
Cover art by Roberto Quintero

This cover really captures the feel of the book to me from the typeface to the artwork.  And I love that it illustrates a pivotal scene in the book, especially one we don’t actually see firsthand in the story.  I totally get Ox out of that picture. (And look at that ass!)

Barging In by Josephine Myles
Cover by Scott Carpenter

This cover portrays Robin and Dan just how I imagined them (well, ok, more tattoos on Dan). But the vibe between them is just right and I love the image of the canal and boats at the bottom.

Pretty Monsters by Andrea Speed
Cover art by Jordan Taylor

Ok, I cheated and ran this last month because it was so gorgeous I couldn’t resist, but since I actually read it in October I am including it again now.  So beautifully done.

Fugly by K.Z. Snow
Cover art by Christine M. Griffin

I love this illustration, it almost looks like a painting. And I think it is great how we get just a hint of the rash on one side of his face. It is so rare in romances to ever see the less than perfect side of our heroes, even when physical attributes are specifically mentioned, so I especially appreciate it here. And look at those eyes! Totally coveys that dismay and guilt. So well done.

Dark Soul by Aleksandr Voinov
Cover art by Jordan Taylor

You can just feel how tortured this guy is, can’t you? Beautifully done, I just love it!
