Well, it is the end of Virgin HeroWeek here at Joyfully Jay. Â I am sad to see it end but so excited about how fun and busy this week has been.
Thanks
Before I go too far I want to thank everyone who helped make this week possible.
First, thank you to all the readers who took the time to stop by, read my posts, follow the blog, and join in the fun of the week. I have really enjoyed getting to chat with so many of you through the comments. A special welcome to all the new readers who came by for the first time this week. I am so appreciative and glad to have you here!
I also want to say thank you so much to Mandi over at Smexy Books and Brie at Romance Around the Corner for helping to promote this week with banners on their blogs. If you haven’t been by their sites yet, be sure to check them out.  And a big thanks to everyone else who linked, tweeted, or otherwise took the time to spread the word about this week.
I want to give a big special thank you to author L.A. Witt for helping to make this week so amazing through her wonderful blog post and giveaway. Â She is a fabulous author and generously shared her time and her books with us (and don’t forget, the giveaway is still open until November 11).
And of course, I want to send my biggest thanks over to Matt and Brad from 2 Boys in Love. Â I am not sure what I did to deserve them! Â Not only did they put in lots of time and effort to promote my blog, they generously sponsored a great giveaway in order to help send visitors my way. Â They are the absolute best, so please stop by and check out their blog if you haven’t already been. Â Big hugs and squeezes to you both!
Giveaways
And speaking of giveaways, there is still time to enter both of them!
2 Boys in Love Giveaway
I am thrilled to report that Joyfully Jay has officially reached 78 Followers as of this post! That means that Brad and Matt are giving away THREE books I reviewed this week to one lucky Follower. Plus, Matt is going to share his “how I became ineligible to be a virgin hero” story on his blog. 😉
Even though we have met our goal to give away three books, you can still enter for a chance to win. Â If you haven’t already become a Follower of Joyfully Jay, you can click on “Join this site” on the right-hand side bar to sign up. Â (Some folks have reported not seeing the button or the little icon collage. If that is happening to you, you may want to try a different browser. Â They seem to be finicky.) Â The contest closes at 11:59 EST on Sunday, November 6.
L.A. Witt Book Giveaway
Author L.A. Witt is giving away both The Distance Between Us and The Closer You Get to one lucky commenter on her virgin hero post. Â All you have to do is leave a comment saying you want to enter. These books are both so awesome so don’t miss your chance to win them. Â The contest will close at 11:59 EDT on Friday, November 11.
Reviews
I posted a lot of reviews this week of books featuring virgin heroes. Â Just in case you missed any, here is a recap:

- Finding Home by Cameron Dane
- The Closer You Get by L.A. Witt
- Seducing Stephen by Bonnie Dee and Summer Devon
Thank you again to everyone who helped make this such a special week! I hope to continue having periodic theme weeks here at Joyfully Jay. Right now I am tentatively planning the next one for early next year. So keep your eyes open… I think it is going to be Rock Star Week!
>Best week ever! I now have tons of new books on my TBR pile… Can’t wait for next year, because I guess this is going to be a yearly event right? We need to share the love for the virgin hero.
Congrats on the followers, can’t wait to read Matt’s story (just out of pure healthy curiosity that's in no way pervy…).
>I'd love to make it a yearly event. I need to keep my eyes open for new virgin hero books. Let me know if you find some!
>Thanks Jay it's been really interesting reading everyones points of view about virgin heros this week
K
>Thank you, Jay, for this very interesting week! I've never paid much attention to virgin heroes before, but now I'm on the lookout for them!
And thanks as well to L.A. Witt and Matt and Brad for the opportunities to win free books. 🙂
>It's over all ready?!!? It feels like it just started! 🙂
>@Chris, I know! Well, a few more days on contests at least, but the bulk of it is done. I am going to see if I can make it an annual thing, I just need to dig up more virgins!
>LOL, "dig up more virgins"
>Wow it seems like you just started and now its over. We definitely need to "dig up more virgins" Thanks for the great new adds to my TBR this week and congrats on all the new followers 🙂
>sad its ovr , a annual thing? wink wink ha ha
>Ok, next years slogan will official be "Digging Up More Virgins"! 😉
I need to start a virgin collection! That way I'll have things to review for next year. So send me your virgins! 😉
>Wow…can't believe the week is over already! I love next years slogan "Digging Up More Virgins" *giggle* Hope you won't have to go too deep… 😉

http://www.goodreads.com/list/show/2861.Best_Gay_Virginal_Characters
>Thanks Chris! I actually have seen that list but most of them are men who have slept with women and are "gay virgins" not actual virgins. But I'll check it out.
>Oh, I actually found one! I remember that in Why I Love Geeks by T.A. Chase, Herb is pretty much a virgin. 🙂
>Thanks for having me! And maybe I can "dig up" another virgin for you before next year's Virgin Hero Week. 😉
And if you need something for Rock Star Week, let me know. 😉 I have one rock band book out, With The Band.
L. A. Witt
>@Lori, I may take you up on that! It has been on my "to read" list for a while. Thanks again for all your support this week!
And now your have your assignment for the year – write more virgins!
>LOL Yes, I'll write more virgins! hehe As soon as I get through this current flock of plot bunnies, that is.
And you're welcome! 😀
