Happy New Year!  I hope everyone is having a fun and festive holiday season. Ours has been a lot of fun and pretty low key.  The kids and I spent most of their school vacation hanging out at home and eating out way too much!

For the last 10 years or so we have spent New Year’s Eve at a rotating party with our closest friends.  We started out just adults with a handful of babies and as we have continued to have kids things have grown and grown.  This year we had about 28 adults and 35 kids.  As the kids have gotten older we just throw them all in the basement with movies, crafts, and video games.  Total chaos, but lots of fun.

So I am really excited to kick off the new year at Joyfully Jay.  On Monday, I will have a post called Joyfully Jay in 2012 where I will share some fun things I have planned for this year, as well as some recent changes to the site.

On Tuesday, L.A. Witt will be here to talk to us about her two newest books, Noble Metals and The Given & the Taken.  I reviewed both books last week and each one has a giveaway, so be sure to check out those posts if you haven’t yet entered.  Both contests close Tuesday night at 11:59 pm EST.

Also on Tuesday I will be announcing our next theme week. I’ll have some details on what you can expect and ways you all can get involved.

On Wednesday I will have a review of Marie Sexton’s newest release, the amazing Blind Space. This was a fabulous story — super hot and very exciting.  And SPACE PIRATES! With mohawks! And eyeliner!  Yum!

Thursday I am reviewing Zero Hour by Jordan Castillo Price.  This is a futuristic story about a guy that suddenly realizes there is more to the world than he ever knew.

On Friday I will have a review of Other Side of Night: Bastian and Riley by S.L. Armstrong and K. Piet. It is an interesting vampire story focusing on two college guys.

That should do it for this week.  Looking forward to it!  Jay
