Hello everyone! Welcome to the new and improved Joyfully Jay!  Or not.  Apparently this whole thing takes a while to roll out to everyone, so you may or may not actually be seeing the new site at the same time this post goes up.  But they assure me it will happen. So if you are still seeing the old site, just squint and pretend a little until the new design shows up.

So, I have been talking about it for months, and yeah, it is here!  First off I have to give a HUGE thanks to Lori Lawson from Imagination Designs who exceeded all my expectations for design and was a pleasure to work with. The fact that she didn’t kill me over the course of this project is a testament to her patience since I am a total control freak with very specific ideas of what I wanted.  But she was amazing and I am thrilled with how everything came out.

All right, want a little tour? Lots of new things to show off.  First, I have added some things to the menu bar.  I have included some pages that will allow you to easily find reviews organized by category.  If you scroll over the Reviews page, you can see reviews sorted by reviewer, by rating, and by genre.  So if you are looking for a good paranormal, this will be a quick way to view them all at once.  Or if you want to find our absolute favorite 5 star books, you can check them out too.  Most of this should be working right now, but it will be a bit before you will find every review here.  It is taking some time to update/migrate the categories from Blogger to WordPress so expect to see things fall into place over the next couple of weeks as I go through old posts and get them set up.

Also under the menu bar is a new page called Favorites.  Here you can find all of our Favorite Books of the month and Favorite Covers of the month posts.   I also have a link for our favorites lists, such as favorite rock star stories (and be sure to check out my updated Favorite Virgin Heroes list!).  There is also a site map here that lets you see a lot of the key pages and jump right to them. I have also updated the Q&A and Contact page and added an About Us page.

On the right side, things are mostly the same, just prettied up.  There are also a couple of new features at the bottom of the page.  You can find a list of recent posts as well as a Categories list.  If you click on the drop down you will see all my post categories and can easily jump to all posts that use that label.

Let’s see, what else?  The Home page is a bit different now.  You will see short excerpts from each post rather than full reviews, which should make it easier to browse quickly through the posts to find what you want to read.  And the reviews themselves are laid out a bit differently based on feedback from the survey.

I think that is about it.  If you play around a bit you will see that lots of the posts still look a bit funky. And the categories are not all working right.  It is going to take a bit of time to get those all cleaned up, so expect to see that stuff get tidied up over the next few weeks.  In the meantime, the content should be there, just not looking exactly perfect.
