Hi guys! I wanted to update everyone and let you know that for mysterious reasons, the Joyfully Jay blog feed is not working correctly. That means if you subscribe to the blog by email or through an RSS feed or feed reader, you will not get any updates. In addition, the automatic tweets announcing new posts are not going live either.
This problem started at some point after Sunday’s Coming This Week post and that is the last one that shows on the feed. I have no idea why this happened as nothing changed with any of my WordPress settings or files, and I didn’t make any changes to the feed. It just up and stopped working. I have spent hours and hours over the past few days trying to figure this out with no luck. I have tried every possible avenue and recommended fix and am about out of ideas. But I am continuing to do everything I can to figure this out and get it working again.
In the meantime, the only way to get new posts is to come to the blog itself. Which is obviously what you are doing or you wouldn’t even see this post. But just in case you just popped by, I wanted to get the word out that for right now, please stop by the blog to check out what’s going on and see all our new reviews, guest posts, and giveaways.
I will keep you all posted as I find out more. And if anyone has ANY ideas or suggestions for how to fix this (or knows someone who might) I will be forever in your debt.

Sorry you are having problems, but thanks for the update. I thought it was something wrong on my end at first. It won’t stop me from visiting your blog. 🙂 Good luck on getting it fixed.
Thanks Lisa, things are looking pretty dire to be honest. No one seems to know what is going on. But I am trying.
Since I just got notified of 10 JJ posts in Google Reader, I’m guessing the feed got fixed? If you use Feedburner, it can get weird about special character (smart quotes and dashes, esp if you paste from MSWord). It seems like I also ended up making my feed smaller, in that it will only pull back 5 posts at max.
Strangely, it seems to have come back. Seriously strange. Still looking into it…
Actually, no, not strange – have there now been 10 posts since the post after your “Coming This Week” post? If you had a “bad” character in the post after “Coming This Week”, it’s no longer part of your feed.
Interesting. I think you may be right. My auto scheduling still isn’t working (I have a plug in fixing it) but that appears to be what caused it. My full feed isn’t too big, but there must have been something that made it grouchy through Feedburner. B/c the “original” feed (joyfullyjay.com/feed) worked fine once I separated it from feedburner.
Now I just have to see the email notifications and the tweets start going again, and if so, I am back in business. Thank goodness
I used to get in trouble when I would paste book blurbs in from websites using smart quotes and smart m-dashes, or if I got something in Word to use for a post and just pasted from Word. Now I go through after I paste and retype every damn one of those things. *sigh*
