After chatting with folks at GRL this year, I am becoming even more convinced that a great cover can really sell a book (and conversely that a bad cover can be a major turnoff). So I am super excited about all the beautiful covers we had this month. We reviewed 68 books in October so we had lots to choose from. I think my favorite cover this month is for Gravedigger’s Brawl. The colors and artwork are gorgeous and it totally evokes not just the feel, but the plot of the story. So beautifully done. Here it is along with some of our other favorites.

You should look at the cover for Jay Bell’s Something Like Winter, the companion novel to Something Like Summer, which has just been released. It’s even more beautiful, but they look fantastic together as they complement each other so well.
Oh yes, I saw that on Jay’s web site. It is just gorgeous and I agree, I love the way they complement one another
