Coming This Week

Hello everyone! I hope you are all having a wonderful holiday season and getting at least a little bit of relaxation and vacation time in. I have been having a very lazy week or so with the kids home for break. I seem to never really manage to do any work when they are home. But I am getting a lot of reading done which is always fun. We have actually even had a bit of snow here which is unusual for this time of year. So overall a really nice holiday season so far.

Tomorrow night we will head out to our annual New Year’s Eve party with our friends. We rotate houses every year and have a big potluck. We have been getting together since we were just married couples. Over the years we have added more and more kids and now our oldest ones are all 11 and the youngest are no longer babies. It is so much fun to see all the kids together. They all are different ages and go to different schools, but they are like cousins when they all get together to play. I think this year we have about 40 of us, which is pretty small for us!

So I am very excited for the new year, both personally and for the blog. I will be posting more details about thoughts on the coming year later this week, as well as about our upcoming theme week scheduled for February. We’ll also have our favorite books and covers for December, and a host of reviews. So very busy even with the holidays. Here is what we have planned for this week…
