Hello everyone! I am so excited to welcome back Anne Tenino to the blog. Anne is here as part of her Good Boy blog tour.  And once again she has penis crafts. Hurray!  Plus an exclusive excerpt! Be sure to send your entries directly to Anne, not by leaving a comment on the post.  So please join me in giving Anne a big welcome!

good boy blog tour

Hello there! Welcome to the Good Boy blog tour. Good Boy is a short story, and the fourth volume in the Theta Alpha Gamma series, which began with the novel Frat Boy and Toppy. The happy couple in FB&T was made up of Brad and Sebastian, and in Good Boy I revisit them, giving them a more complete ending.

anne crocheted penisSo, that’s the nuts and bolts of the story—let’s get on with the nuts and bolts of the tour contest. Because you know there’s a contest, right? That’s the way these things go, after all—I entice you to read the story with the promise of a prize. How does this work, you ask? Simple: read the posts, find the question I ask, and answer it by emailing (not in comments) me at anne @ annetenino .com. All correct answers will be entered into the drawing for (drumroll please) . . . one yarn penis with foreskin! (See picture if you have no clue what I’m talking about.)

For a list of all blog tour stops, you can check out Riptide’s site or look for announcements from me on social media. The contest will end October 14th at 11:59pm, Pacific time.

Enough of that—on with the Good Boy Blog Tour.

What is it about some couples? They have an aura about them, something that tells people—from their friends and family to random passers-by—that these two are soulmates. I know you know what I mean, I bet you’ve seen it. And even if you haven’t noticed it in real life, I bet you look for it in your romance, don’t you?

Just to be completely clear, I’m assuming if you’re reading this post, you’re into romance novels. Now back to our regularly scheduled blog post.

I aim for this sort of connection between my characters in every story I write, and so far I’ve hit my mark. By that I mean that I’ve convinced myself that these two are destined for each other, and really that’s the best I can hope for. Once the story is published, then it’s up to each individual reader to decide if I hit that mark for them.

Good Boy is no exception to this rule, and it contains a little scene that I especially like where Sebastian is ruminating on this sort of connection. I’m going to do a little something special for this last tour stop and share it with you. Yes, folks, it’s an exclusive excerpt! Woohoo!

To set it up quickly, this is about halfway into the book, and is in Sebastian’s point of view (no serious spoilers present). It does reference Collin and Eric, the heroes of Sweet Young Thang, and mentions Sebastian apologizing to Collin for being a dick (that’s something you’ll have to read about in another blog post, or on the Riptide Publishing page).

Before he hadn’t thought about “us” and “everyone else,” but now he could perceive an invisible wall that surrounded Brad and himself. When he finally did apologize to Collin, he found himself curiously unconcerned about Brad and Collin’s continuing friendship because he had something of Brad that Collin could never have, not even if Sebastian hadn’t ever been in the picture. Instinctively, he knew Collin couldn’t give Brad what he needed. Only he could do that.

Besides, Collin had a new boyfriend, and it was very serious. It was obvious in the way Collin’s eyes softened when he looked at the guy, and clearly Eric—the new boyfriend—was besotted with Collin. It was all over his face.

Sebastian felt confident that when he and Brad had first gotten together, people had noticed that about them too. He could recall sometimes watching Brad’s face light up when he turned to him, and he remembered feeling brighter somehow whenever he saw Brad. That feeling had mellowed, and certainly even if they still looked like a couple to outsiders, no one consciously thought “they belong together” whenever Brad and Sebastian entered a room.

That’s what I want. Anyone who saw Brad should instantly know he belonged to someone. He needed something people could see and interpret as a symbol of their relationship. Most important of all, when Sebastian looked at Brad, he wanted to see some tangible evidence of what they had together. Something with weight and form and meaning. And to be honest, Sebastian wouldn’t mind having a similar marker.

He could only think of one, perfect thing. Perfect for them.

Of course, if you want to know what that perfect thing is, you have to read the story. If you have read it and you want to enter the blog tour contest, here’s your question (remember to email the answer to me at anne @ annetenino .com):

What’s the one perfect thing Sebastian gives Brad?

More about Good Boy:

good boyHappily Ever After is just a frat boy away.

Brad “Frat Boy” Feller and Sebastian “Toppy” DeWitt have been together for nine months, and their relationship is as hot as ever. The only cloud Brad sees on their horizon is Sebastian’s stress over his thesis. And their uncertain future together after graduation. And how Sebastian sometimes takes Brad for granted. And Sebastian’s unwillingness to introduce Brad to his father.

Other than that, everything’s awesome.

All of Sebastian’s energy is currently devoted to his thesis, and getting into a top-notch PhD program. Fortunately, his boyfriend takes care of all the domestic stuff and Sebastian’s needs. Any minor strain between them will disappear and they’ll return to the status quo after Sebastian graduates. As long as nothing upsets their delicate balance in the meantime.

Then a friend Brad once had a small fling with is forced to take refuge with them, and Frat Boy and Toppy’s delicate balance topples like an elephant on a waterski. Now Sebastian has to face some truths about how he’s been treating Brad, what he wants for their future, and what he has to do to get it.
