Hi everyone! Today I am excited to welcome two lovely authors, Heidi Belleau and Amelia C. Gormley. There are here to talk to us about their The Professor’s Rule series, which I have reviewed and really enjoyed. Â Today they are sharing an installment of a bonus short story (the full story is being released at each stop along the tour). Â They also have a great giveaway. So please join me in giving Heidi and Amelia a big welcome!
Hi! Weâre Heidi Belleau and Amelia C. Gormley, and weâre here to let you know that our kinky series The Professorâs Rule is coming to an end. The last two novelettes–Every Inch of the Way and To the Very Last Inch–are out now from Riptide Publishing, and to celebrate, weâre touring the web with a contest and a free bonus short. Youâll have to follow the whole tour to read the short in its entirety, but since every comment you make along the tour gets you an entry in our contest, thereâs plenty of reasons to tag along.
If you havenât yet heard of The Professorâs Rule, hereâs a quick crash course (see what we did there?)
School is back in session.
When undergrad student James Sheridan set out to seduce his way into a better grade, he had no idea what he was signing on for. Professor Evander Carson wasnât about to trade a good grade for sexual favors, but he was definitely willing to tutor his wayward pupil in far more than history.
By the end of their tumultuous relationship, James not only excelled academically, his sexual horizons had expanded to include pleasuresâand agoniesâthe likes of which heâd never dreamed. But enough was more than enough, and James fled from his Professor, unsure of where his limits lay or if he had the wherewithal to set boundaries.
Two years later, a chance misdial puts James back in contact with his former instructor and brings all his old cravings back in force, leaving him yearning to kneel once again at his Professorâs feet. But James has a new life now, with new sexual and romantic prospectsâmost notably the charming menswear salesman Satish Malhotra. Still, the pull to return to Professor Carson is a powerful thing. Can James give in to it without giving up his newfound confidence and budding romance?
The complete collection is on sale now for 40% off, and if youâd like to try before you buy, Giving an Inch (The Professorâs Rule #1) is free wherever ebooks are sold!
Today on the tour: part four of our free dirty bonus short, Every Inch an Exhibitionist. For links to the other parts of the story, make sure to check Riptideâs tour page. And be sure to stick around after the story for contest info!
Part Four: Every Inch and Exhibitionist
Almost Five Years Earlier — James and Carson
As impatient as James has felt in this last hour, heâs still a little hesitant. First of all, heâs never felt the same about his body since he got out of rehab. Thereâs nothing wrong with him, he knows that, but something about what had gone down with his dealer, about the things James had done, altered the way he feels about being exposed before other people.
Second, theyâre not in the orgy room. Theyâre still downstairs in the living room, hanging out and talking. Carson wouldnât have him do anything that was inappropriate in this part of the house, would he? James wasnât sure, but he was desperate enough to get out of the cock cage and relieve the torment of his forced semi-arousal that heâll do anything Carson says, whatever his reservations.
He feels eyes upon him. Thereâs one straight couple theyâve been bumping into all night, the male half of which James has been getting vibes from. But now heâs getting vibes from the girlfriend as well, and that is not nearly as pleasing. Heâs pretty sure the way heâs stuck to Carsonâs side, not to mention how free Carson has been with his casual fondling of James, advertises that theyâre together and that he has no interest in fulfilling some girlâs fantasy of being tag-teamed by her boyfriend and another guy. James doesnât see women that way, and even if he did, heâd rather be tag-teamed than be a part of said team.
Heâs bracing himself to refuse when, at the next lull in conversation, the guy licks his lips and looks from James to Carson. When he speaks, he addresses Carson, and he looks a little nervous.
âI, um, I was wondering if youâd mind if I made out with your companion at little,â he says, and Jamesâs jaw drops. Oh, he has so misread that situation. The girlfriend hasnât been eyeballing him for herself, but for her boyfriend. James glances at Carson to see his reaction to the request.
Carson is wearing his slightly enigmatic smile, the one James has learned means heâs pleased, but playing it calm. âIf James is interested, then I have no objections. What do you think, my sweet?â
James finds himself mirroring the nervous lip licking. When heâd imagined joining in the fun, heâd imagined him and Carson doing it. The guy is cute, but what is really catching his attention is the girlfriendâs avid attention. She wants to watch, he realizes. She wants to see her boyfriend with another guy. And that, surprisingly, is not without its fair share of appeal. The idea of making out with some stranger with an audience should trouble him, given the past experiences he struggles with, but since itâs a girl who will be doing the watching, it feels completely different.
âYeah,â he says finally, looking back to Carson. âI think that would be okay.â
Carson kisses the shell of Jamesâs ear, and whispers, âYou know what to say if you get uncomfortable.â Then he raises his voice. âShall we adjourn upstairs, then?â
James feels oddly conspicuous, falling in line in a procession that makes its way to the orgy room. Hi, donât mind us, weâre just going upstairs to get our freak on. Itâs like the walk of shame, only before the sex, instead of after.
The guy is trembling, James discovers when heâs settled on a beanbag with Carson at his back. âHavenât done this much?â he murmurs, leaning back and reaching for the guy. His nerves seem to make James feel calmer.
The guy shakes his head. âNo. Weâre just sort of starting to explore some different things.â
âWhich part? Being in public, or–?â
âYeah, the or part.â James canât tell in the faint light, but he thinks the guy is blushing. Is this going to be his first time making out with another man?
Damn, thatâs hot.
Suddenly, James feels confident. If this guy is just starting to explore his bisexuality, especially with his girlfriendâs blessing, James can make it good for him. Heâs not sure heâs willing to fuck the guy, but making out he can definitely do, and leave him wanting more.
His hands creep under the short sleeves of the guyâs T-shirt, grasping his triceps and pulling him in. The pause when Jamesâs lips first make contact with his seals the deal. Heâs definitely a virgin where guy-on-guy action is concerned. James flicks his lips with his tongue, requesting entrance, and after a moment, the guy sighs and opens to him, relaxing against Jamesâs body.
Thereâs a charge in doing it. Not really between him and the other guy; the guy is cute, but James would never say there was a lot of chemistry between them. But knowing that Carson and the girlfriend are watching? That they are both experiencing something theyâve never done before? Oh yeah, it definitely gives James a jolt.
He feels Carson at his back, and if theyâre talking about a charge between people, there it is. James can sense Carsonâs arousal, his appreciation for what heâs seeing. Though heâs locking lips with the other guy, itâs Carson he wants, Carson who matters.
Carson whose hands James wants on him.
About Every Inch of the Way and To the Very Last Inch
In Every Inch of the Way, Satish Malhotra is in over his head. What appeared to be the hookup of his dreams turned out to be another manâs kinky sex game, and thus ended his relationship with sweet, submissive James Sheridan before itâd hardly begun.
Or so he thought. Being used in someone elseâs domination/submission play should have been a deal breaker, yet Jamesâbruises, boyfriend, and allâis too compelling to let walk away. But James has needs Satish isnât sure he can fulfill, and it seems his mysterious Professor isnât willing to share.
Can Satish keep James happy in bed and in life, or will James be forced to choose between his dominant and his burgeoning vanilla romance with Satish?
In To the Very Last Inch . . . Just days after their scorching reunion, Professor Evander Carson has kicked his one-time pupil James Sheridan to the curbâand tried to sabotage Jamesâs new relationship with Satish Malhotra. Something isnât right here, but James isnât sure he should bother trying to figure out what. Carson isnât good for him and will never change. He needs to accept that and move on.
Satish knows something is up, too, but he thinks the relationship between Carson and James is worth saving. To do the right thing, Satish will have to make James and Carson confront the secrets theyâve hidden for years and help them to overcome the pain and mistrust theyâve caused.
But if Satish succeeds, where will that leave him and his intensifying romance with James? Will the three of them be able to find the right balance, or will James be forced to choose between the pain and submission he craves with Carson, and the sweet, vanilla stability heâs found with Satish?
About the Authors
Amelia C. Gormley may seem like anyone else. But the truth is she sings in the shower, dances doing laundry, and writes blisteringly hot m/m erotic romance while her son is at school. When sheâs not writing in her Pacific Northwest home, Amelia single-handedly juggles her husband, her son, their home, and the obstacles of life by turning into an everyday superhero. And that, she supposes, is just like anyone else.
Her self-published novel-in-three-parts, Impulse (Inertia, Book One; Acceleration, Book Two; and Velocity, Book Three) can be found at most major online book retailers, and be sure to check Riptide for her latest releases, including her Highland historical, The Lairdâs Forbidden Lover, the The Professorâs Rule series of erotic novelettes (co-written with Heidi Belleau), the post-apocalyptic romance, Strain, and her upcoming, New Adult contemporary, Saugatuck Summer, available for pre-order now.

Heidi Belleau was born and raised in small town New Brunswick, Canada. She now lives in the rugged oil-patch frontier of Northern BC with her husband, an Irish ex-pat whose long work hours in the trades leave her plenty of quiet time to write. She has a degree in history from Simon Fraser University with a concentration in British and Irish studies; much of her work centered on popular culture, oral folklore, and sexuality, but she was known to perplex her professors with papers on the historical roots of modern romance novel tropes. (Ask her about Highlanders!) Her writing reflects everything she loves: diverse casts of characters, a sense of history and place, equal parts witty and filthy dialogue, the occasional mythological twist, and most of all, loveâin all its weird and wonderful forms. She also writes queer-flavoured M/F as Heloise Belleau.
