Hi everyone! Today I am so pleased to welcome back author Susan Mac Nicol to the blog. Susan is here to talk to us more about her release, Double Alchemy. She has brought an original excerpt to share, as well as details about a great giveaway. So please join me in giving her a big welcome!
Excerpt
Whilst he was enjoying the attention Quinn was giving him, attention that left him permanently breathless when Quinn was near and in a state of constant arousal despite him saying things would soon “calm down,” Cade’s rebellious and independent streak was rising to the fore. Quinn also let nothing personal about himself pass his very kissable lips. Even after three weeks of seeing each other constantly, he was a closed book. Other than his business life, his explanation of his state of being as a Warlock and his company, QuinnCo, Cade knew absolutely nothing more about him than when he’d first met him.
Quinn was evasive to the core, deflecting any personal questions by either changing the subject adroitly or initiating erotic and passionate sex, which blew Cade’s mind and made him forget what he’d asked in the first place. Cade had even wondered suspiciously if he was doing some sort of magyck to make him forget.
“I can’t help it you’re easily distracted by my body,” Quinn had grinned at his exasperated expression even as his lips trailed down Cade’s chest and bit the nipples that hardened whenever Quinn was around. Cade’s nipple piercing had never received so much loving attention. “Are you not enjoying my ravenous appetite for you and the mind-blowing sex then?” he’d murmured silkily. “You can have more time to talk, but I can’t promise I’ll be able to answer. I might have my mouth full. It could turn out to be a pretty one-sided affair.”
Quinn had just managed to catch Cade’s hand as it rose to punch him aside his head, and he’d given a deep, satisfied laugh. Those two actions alone had led to a tussle on the couch, which had again led to sex. Cade just couldn’t win with the man. He watched Quinn now as he lay lazily on the couch in the cabin, his dark blond hair tousled and untidy from their previous lovemaking, his eyes closed as he lay back with his hands tucked behind his head. His checked shirt was open and Cade saw the rise and fall of his chest as he breathed, the golden hair covering it and the strong muscles of his stomach. His jeans zip was still half down and Cade could see the line of hair that led down into his groin, a place he’d put his mouth only an hour before.
“Do you like what you see?” Quinn murmured softly, a slight smile on his face. “I can feel your stare burning through my trousers from here.”
About Double Alchemy
Powerful yet tormented modern warlock Quinn Fairmont must initiate the silver-eyed Cade Mairston into the world of witchfinders, Withinners, and what can happen when two men fall truly, madly, deeply in love.
THE WORLD IN SHADOW
In modern London there lurks a warlock, Quinn Fairmont. Dangerous, powerful, tortured, sharing his body with the soul of an ancient Welsh sorcerer, Quinn is never alone—and never wholly himself. He fights against all those who would exploit his kind. He takes pleasure where he can find it.
In the forest of Hampstead Heath, Quinn’s hometown, Cade Mairston appears to him like a waking dream. Lithe, lean and silver-eyed, he evokes feelings in Quinn unlike any other: lust with true affection, immediate and shocking. Cade is clearly more than he seems. And yet, if a man of the world, Cade is innocent. He knows nothing of warlocks, witchfinders or Withinners. He knows nothing of what he is, what he might be, or what he might feel. For him, the story is just beginning. Magyck, peril and passion await.

Thanks so much for taking part, Jay! Always a pleasure to visit you here.
Susan has some of the best covers. I already have Saving Alexander but I hope i win this one!
Looking forward to read this.
Love the cover. Thanks for the giveaway!
The first books I read that I was able to pick out for myself were fantasy (myth & magic!) and I tend to stray right back to that genre time and again. Love the blurb, sounds right up my alley!
Thank you for the chance!!!
Thanks to everyone that stopped by the blog and let me know what they thought! It’s been lovely to meet you all here. I’m glad you like the sound of the book, LOVE that you like my covers (I’m biased but I think they are some of the best in the biz) and love that you want to read Double Alchemy. It’s not your usual paranormal- no vampires, no weres, no shifters, but I still hope you enjoy the contemporary magic and witchcraft theme and the little bit of interest in my local history, that of Matthew Hopkins, the actual Witchfinder General of Essex. He wasn’t a very nice man at all 🙁
A new twist on PNR would be welcome!
