Every year we share our favorites of the year here at Joyfully Jay. This year we have a week of Favorites posts, one each day. To kick things off, here are Kris’ 2014 Favorites!
Trying to come up with my favorite books I’ve read over the last year is like asking me to pick a favorite yarn. Anyone who knows me know that just can’t happen. How can I pick just some of the many glorious books that I’ve read over the past twelve months? It’s impossible. There are so many ways to categorize the books I’ve read, and I read and love across all subgenres in the gay romance genre. I didn’t know how to choose.
After spending a long, arduous, agonizing time thinking, I decided to go with the books that I’ve read more than once, and in some cases multiple times, because they are just that good. In no particular order, my fourteen top reads from 2014 are:
- The Last Thing He Needs by J.H. Knight
- The Protector by Cooper West
- Catch Me When I Fall by John Wiltshire
- Partnership Reborn by Ariel Tachna
- The Art of Breathing by T.J. Klune
- Dream For Me by Becky Black
- Rainbow Blues by K.C. Burn
- Port in a Storm by Douglas Black
- Flight of Magpies by K.J. Charles
- Bloodline by Jordan L. Hawk
- Splinters by Thorny Sterling
- The Path by Ariel Tachna
- Control by Mary Calmes and Cardeno C
- Stories Beneath Our Skin by Veronica Sloane
Thank you for sharing your list =)
😀 You are welcome.
Oh you clever girl…top 14 of ’14…I like it…I have literally read ONE of the books on your list (and to anyone who knows me, it’s an easy guess as to which that one is)…holy freakin’ cow!! I need to get on this…several are on my TBR, I just haven’t made it that far…need more time in the day…
I liked the symmetry of 14 for ’14, yes. 🙂 Plus that gave me a solid cap, because I could have gone on. Gotta say, Crissy, I am very scared of your TBR! 😛
LOL! I’m always scared of my TBR! seriously…I try not to think too hard about it because if I do I might get lost in the mountain…
😉 Don’t worry, we’ll find you!
Wow. I’ve read one of them and have another on my Kindle….and that’s all. I feel like I’ve read 100’s of books this year so how did I miss these?
That’s where the best of lists come in handy, Barbara! Hope you find some other’s to put on your list! 🙂
