The Boys

We are so excited to be talking about our upcoming release: Guns n’ Boys: Homicidal Instinct (Book 2) It is book two in our twisted, dark erotic romance mafia series based in the world of Italian mafia. The story is a long, turbulent journey of one couple deeply entrenched in the dealings of their criminal family. Behind the morbid humor and extreme violence hides the intense love affair of Domenico Acerbi, the mafia’s best hitman, and Seth Villani, the Don’s son.

Together, they have to deal with their blooming affection for each other, their family’s homophobia, their own prejudice, lust, jealousy, and violence. In true anti-hero fashion, they do so in most morally ambiguous ways.

The colorful mix of people outside was probably the last thing he expected. There was a sea of new arrivals, many in cowboy hats, streaming back and forth with boxes and suitcases, some of which clearly contained instruments. And then there was the source of the voice, two elderly men engaged in some kind of weird singing match.

“Oh, God… there’s more guests arriving. But no one’s murdering anyone, so I guess it’s fine.” He looked at Dom over his shoulder with a small smile. Even the wound on Dom’s face was healing well. It still wasn’t something to look at, but it was healthy, which was most important. He once had a nightmare about it getting infected with flesh eating bacteria. He woke up when Dom looked up at him with a gaping hole where his nose used to be. He looked just like Elephant.

Oblivious to those grim fantasies, Domenico rolled over and put a pillow over his head. “Why are they so loud? Who are they? A preacher and his flock?”

Seth cocked his head to the side, watching more people in colorful outfits rushing out of a bus and straight into the hotel, shivering in the cold. “No they’re like… cowboys or something.”

Domenico looked out of his hideout with hair all over the place. “Why would there be cowboys in here? And why are they so loud? A pop-up rodeo?”

Seth started laughing. “Why? You wanna ride a bull tonight?” He wiggled his eyebrows, approaching the bed. All he needed was the right moment to get to fuck Dom again. It felt like the one time he did was in a different life, but that ass was still as delicious as ever.

Domenico sighed. “Not with a guy in a cowboy hat watching. Will the whole day be like that?” Slowly, he rolled out of bed and stretched his whole body. It didn’t look that powerful when Dom wore his signature suits, but when he was naked, the strength hidden beneath skin was easy to spot.

“I dunno. Maybe. We need to blend in, Dom.” Seth grinned at the idea, never taking his eyes off Dom. “I’ll get myself a hat like that.”

Dom frowned. “What for?” he asked as if the concept was as abstract as owning a henhouse when you didn’t have any chickens.

Seth put his hands on Dom’s shoulders. “So you know who’s the rider tonight.”

Bio

K. A. Merikan is the pen name for Kat and Agnes Merikan, a team of writers, who are mistaken for sisters with surprising regularity. Kat’s the mean sergeant and survival specialist of the duo, never hesitating to kick Agnes’s ass when she’s slacking off. Her memory works like an easy-access catalogue, which allows her to keep up with both book details and social media. Also works as the emergency GPS. Agnes is the Merikan nitpicker, usually found busy with formatting and research. Her attention tends to be scattered, and despite pushing thirty, she needs to apply makeup to buy alcohol. Self-proclaimed queen of the roads.

They love the weird and wonderful, stepping out of the box, and bending stereotypes both in life and books. When you pick up a Merikan book, there’s one thing you can be sure of – it will be full of surprises.
