wedding-invitationFirst, I want to thank Jay for hosting Their Reason today. As the last stop on a month long book tour / fundraiser, I wanted to take a few minutes to talk about The Trevor Project and why I chose this book to launch my fundraising efforts.

The Trevor Project is the only national organization providing suicide prevention services to our LGBTQ youth in crisis. Statistically, lesbian, gay and bisexual youth are 4x more likely than their straight peers to attempt suicide, and youth who are questioning their sexual orientation are 3x more likely. Suicide is the 2nd leading cause of death in youth between the ages of 10 and 24.*

From unaccepting parents to bullies at school, our LGBTQ youth have few places to feel safe. They live in fear and are made to question their very existence for something that they couldn’t have changed anymore than they could their eye color. That is why this organization is so important. With over 100,000 youth assisted every year through their various services, The Trevor Project is making a difference. Look at that staggering number. Now imagine where those LGBTQ youth would be if The Trevor Project hadn’t been there to answer their call.

So how does this all tie into my book tour? In For A Reason, we learn that Red was very much one of those youth in crisis and, as he finds his happily ever after, I knew I wanted to be part of the solution. In addition to pledging 50% of the royalties from Their Reason to The Trevor Project, I put up two sets of signed books and two sets of ebooks and intended to pick the winners from those who donate to the fundraiser. When we hit my original goal of $500 before the first stop on the tour, I increased the prizes to 3 sets each and 6 winners total.

As of today we have raised $726 dollars and I am so grateful to everyone who donated. I believe that if we work together to support The Trevor Project, we can make a difference.

Excerpt

“We can’t get married if my face is covered in zits. The pictures will look horrible.”

“Seriously?” Bull pushed off the door frame and grabbed Red’s chin, holding his face up to the light. “There’s nothing there.”

“Are you sure? Look closer,” Red urged.

Bull leaned closer and didn’t stop until he had that frowning mouth under his. Red moaned and opened for him, and Bull felt the tension melting away. “That’s better. Now, tell me what’s really going on.”

“What?” Red scrunched up his nose. “I just…I can’t dance.”

Bull consider asking what that had to do with his physical appearance, then thought better of it. Red’s anxieties were few and far between these days, but when they manifested, it was always in the most unusual way. “I disagree. We dance very well together. Want me to show you?”

“Is that a sex ploy?” Red rolled his eyes and smiled knowingly. “Who am I kidding? It’s always a sex ploy.”

Bull slipped his hands down Red’s back and slid them beneath the waistband of his jeans. Those whiskey eyes darkened as Red pressed closer and when Bull swayed, Red instinctively followed. “I can’t really argue with that since everything you do makes me think about sex.”

Red blushed and hid his face against Bull neck. As adventurous as their sex life was, it pleased Bull to no end that he could still get that reaction out of him. “Everything I do?”

“Uh huh.” Bull continued the slow sway and added a small shuffle, and forced himself not to react when Red moved effortlessly with him. “Watching you eat is pure torture. I’m jealous of every bite of food you put in your mouth. Only one thing belongs in your mouth.”

Red hummed thoughtfully before pointing out, “One cannot live on cock alone.”

Their-Reason-Book-500

You are cordially invited to the wedding of Jon Connor and Ian Jones!

When I think about my guys and who I think marriage would mean the most to, I always think about Red. Growing up in foster care and spending his first twenty-five years just trying to survive, the concept of family is a dream he never thought would become a reality. He found a family with Bull, the Connors and our favorite guys in the garage, but marriage would really make him a Connor. Not just the piece of paper, but the vows in front of all their loved ones, the promise of forever…it’s everything Red deserves.

In this sequel novella to For A Reason, we follow Bull and Red through the wonderful and crazy adventure of planning a wedding. From setting a date to saying those two magical words to their surprise Irish honeymoon, we get to see how love has transformed everyone’s favorite couple. And stick around for the outtakes, Red and Bull’s marriage has had quite the impact on all the guys!

Authors Note: 50% of the proceeds will be donated to the Trevor Project, the leading national organization focused on crisis and suicide prevention efforts among lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and questioning (LGBTQ) youth.

Series Note: This book is not a standalone. For A Reason is a must read so you have Bull and Red’s full back story. That said, the sequence of events in this book picks up about five months after Tricking Chase (Devils Pride MC, Book #1) and I do suggest reading them in order. After this book, the two series will move forward separately.

Bio

Writing has been the elusive, life-long goal that seemed to be getting further away as the years went by. It took 30+ years to achieve, but Jessie’s decided that timing is everything. The world wasn’t ready for m/m romance back then and, now that it is, the girl in the closet has finally found her writing home.

Jessie is a firm believer in marriage equality, love at first sight, power dynamics, and happily ever after. She’s a lover of strong secondary characters and series filled with families, biological or chosen. All are themes you’ll find throughout her books.
