Hi everyone! I thought in anticipation of next week’s Favorites List Week for our September Reading Challenge, I’d take a minute to familiarize folks with our Favorite Book Lists here at the blog.
Favorite Book Lists are list of books we love in a variety of tropes and themes. Some of them are created in connection our various Theme Weeks, such as Favorite Rock Stars, Favorite Men in Uniform, or Favorite Virgin Heroes. Others are inspired by things I read that I really love, such as Favorite Amnesia Stories or Favorite Road Trip Stories. Each of them lists books we love in the theme, as well as links to all our reviews in that theme in case you want to check out other books as well.
For Favorites List Week, you can play along by reading a book from one of our Favorite Book Lists. If you don’t want to buy anything and you don’t have any of the books on one of our lists, you are welcome just to choose something from one of the themes. I am guessing pretty much everyone has a men in uniform book (firefighter, police officer, military, etc) or a coming out story in their TBR pile. So don’t worry if you don’t have anything that is on our lists, you can still play along.
Whether you are participating in the challenge or not, I’d encourage you all to check out our Favorite Book Lists. They are lots of fun and a great way to find a book when you are in the mood for something in particular. And if anyone has suggestions for future Favorite Book Lists they’d like to see, definitely let me know and I’ll do my best to make it happen.
You can find all the lists in our red menu bar under Favorites and then choose Favorite Book Lists. Here is a list of all of them as well so you can go right there:
