best 2015 When Jay asked us to write up a list of our favorite books for 2015, I was very excited to be able to bring you all my favorite books! For me, to make it to my favorite book list a book has to meet the following criteria:

1. I couldn’t put it down. I can’t tell you how many times I stayed up until the sun was rising just to finish one of these books!

2. I immediately start devouring anything and everything the author has written before and/or following the author on Goodreads.com so that the second they release another book, I am ready!

As many of you know, from reading my reviews here at Joyfully Jay, I am a huge fan of self-published stories…maybe because sometimes it feels as if I am on a treasure hunt – digging through the muck and then finding that piece of gold! So, it shouldn’t be a surprise that I have a list of just self-published books to bring you!

Pieces of Jack by BJ Sheppard
This book has it all – suspense, mystery, and steamy sex scenes!

Crossroads by Riley Hart
Nick is newly divorced; Bryce is all about having a good time. When the two of these guys end up living side-by-side in a duplex, they begin spending more and more time together. Though the two of them have a spark when they are together, are they willing to get off the easy path or will they take a chance on the road less travelled? If you haven’t read anything by Riley Hart, you don’t know what you are missing!

Rock Solid (Rock Solid Construction #1) by Riley Hart
Yes, another Riley Hart book! Trevor is a screw up…or was a screw up until he got himself sober a little over a year ago. Unfortunately, he’s burned many bridges and needs to earn back the trust of those he’s hurt in the past. Simon is a former heart surgeon whose life was turned upside down when his hand was injured in a car accident. When Simon turns down Trevor’s estimate at a remodeling job, Trevor refuses to take no for an answer.

A Restored Man (The Men of Halfway House Book 3) by Jaime Reese
In this stand-alone (though you will want to read them all), Cole has a problem where he speaks before he thinks which leads him into getting into a lot of trouble. A former car thief, he’s being given a second chance when he is offered a job working at a local exotic and collectable car shop owned by Ty. Ty has been just going through the motions for the last two years…a shell of a man he once was. Having Cole around brings Ty back out of his shell. This is one of those series that it an auto-buy for me!

Guys on the Side (Guys on Top series #2) by Darien Cox
This is one of those books where you really need to read the first in order to truly appreciate the rest in the series. Corey – who I hated in book 1, redeems himself spectacularly in this book. Corey, who is struggling with getting on with his life and dealing with a possessive new boyfriend, meets Angelo , a psychiatrist and nephew of one of Corey’s patient’s homophobic family. If you haven’t read any of Cox’s books – you are in for a treat – this book has probably one of the best written first kiss scenes ever!

Just a Bit Wrong (Straight Guys #4) by Alessandra Hazard
This is the fourth book in the Straight Guys series which focuses on soccer players. Zach is a physiotherapist; Tristan is an injured soccer star who happens to be a rich, spoiled rotten brat in need of a good spanking! Don’t let that scare you off, that is about the sum of the D/s in this book.

The Making of Matt (Souls of the Knight #3) by Nicola Haken
When Matt’s music career goes belly up, he seeks out his best friend Alex. In this gay for you novel, you will be in stitches laughing with the banter between these two and reaching for the Kleenex. By far the best book out of the series! Not to mention, that is one hot cover!
