Hi everyone! Today we continue with our Reading Challenge Month by starting week 3: New-to-Me Author Week! This one is pretty self explanatory — pick a book by an author that you haven’t read before. I know for a lot of folks (myself included sometimes), we tend to stick with our tried and true favorites. So this week is a chance to push the envelope a bit and pick a book by someone we haven’t read, hopefully an author who can be a new favorite!
This week is sponsored by Interlude Press. They are giving away a fabulous prize:
One winner will receive an assortment of ebooks and signed paperbacks! In the spirit of New-to-Me Author Week, the ebooks are all new Interlude authors in 2016.
2016 Debuts:
- Sweet by Alicia Constantine
- Speakeasy by Suzey Ingold
- The Star Host by F.T. Lukens
- The Better to Kiss You With by Michelle Osgood

Wow, some of my favourites are in this list. I’ll go for Shiver by Jocelynn Drake and Rinda Elliott, as I haven’t read anything by any of them.
I’ve read the Saenz book, but not the others; I’ll be curious to hear the reviews! This week I’m reading THE LUSTY ADVENTURES OF THESEUS by Arthur Griffin.
Oh great! We reviewed that here so I’ll be interested to see what you think!
This sounds like another enjoyable week. I’ll be reading As You Wish by Isobel Starling (which just happens to be free to Kindle readers).
Awesome!
I love exploring new-to-me authors, so this is definitely a week I’m looking forward to. Perfect time, too, for this to be the Interlude giveaway as they are one of the new presses. They’ve put out some great ones, though, and I’m excited about what they’ll do in the future. Another thing I’m excited about is to see Aristotle and Dante on the list, one of my favorites! I wonder what Camille will think of it.
This week is definitely a fun one. I already read a new-to-me author so this week challenge is met. and OMG someone is new to Astrid Amara, Ginn Hale, and Nicole Kimberling?!?! HELL COP IS FABULOUS!! I hope that someone enjoy it. Oh, and Aristotle and Dante is definitely one of the best books I’ve read. Ever.
This is going to be a fun challenge, i have to look on my tbr list and see if i have some books on them from authors i haven’t read yet. I love discovering “new to me authors” 🙂
Oh yay!
I’m permanently buying new books and have so many books by new-to-me-authors on my kindle. It’s tough to choose but one of them will be Barry Brennessel since this one is already waiting for a couple of years.
Great! Look forward to hearing what you think!
I have a lot of authors who I have yet to read on my android – from good reviews and from recommendations.
Looking at my list – I think I’m going to read Widdershins by Jordan L. Hawk – which I don’t know why I haven’t managed to yet .
Oh yes! You must read it (yes I am bossy by seriously, it is amazing!)
Oh and I’ll also mention I read this last year as my first Jordan Hawk and then proceeded to read everything she had written in every series!
*facepalm* You are SO RIGHT. Made the mistake of starting Widdershins in the evening and was up till… uh… 4am, THEN proceeded to buy the next 4 books.. and I’m currently on book #3 – so, uh, I see another buying spree later in the week.
Right? She is amazing! I seriously read like 13 books all at once! When you catch up on widdershins, I am loving Hexworld. And if you like a bit more of an urban fantasy twist, I seriously read all six stories in the first season of SPECTR in three days. It is amaze balls
