Hi everyone! Today we are officially kicking off our Reading Challenge Month! If you want more details on the event itself, including specifics on how to enter, check out the kick off post that ran earlier today.
Starting tomorrow we move on to our first challenge, TBR Pile Week! This week we will be reading books that have been in our TBR piles for at least a year. If you are anything like me, you have books that have been languishing far longer than that, so hopefully this week will encourage to pick something up that grabbed your eye long ago but never quite made it to the top of your list.
This week is sponsored by NineStar Press. They are giving away two amazing prizes:
The first is a bundle of seven print books:
- Enemies of the State – Tal Bauer
- A Time to Rise – Tal Bauer
- Defiant Loyalties – Elizabeth Wilde
- Finding You, Finding Me – Bailey Queen
- Wrestling for Top Collection – Jack Stevens
- Perilous – Cari Z
- You Are the One – Scott D. Pomfret
The second is prize is an eBook copy of EVERY BOOK they publish for six months! Woo hoo! And all entries throughout the month qualify you for the grand prize sponsored by Dreamspinner Press. They are giving away a Kindle Fire loaded with all of their summer releases!
Here is what we are reviewing this week for the challenge:
Monday
- Red Dirt Heart 2 by N.R. Walker
Tuesday
- Crashing the Net by Samantha Wayland
Wednesday
- Aleksey’s Kingdom by John Wiltshire
- The Mermaid Murders by Josh Lanyon
Thursday

Be sure to check out these reviews and be sure to leave comments on the post for entries. Plus read along with us with a mini review and earn even more entries!
What fun! I’ve begun TJ Klune’s Bear, Otter, and the Kid which has been languishing in my cyberspace TBR cloud since mid-May last year.
Oh perfect! Glad you are joining us!!
Okay my list for this week is “Heart to Hart” by Erin O’Quinn (which I finished on September 1st because clearly I cannot wait) and “Hidden Gem” by Lissa Kasey
Good choices! Can’t wait to hear what you think
I’m going to read A Casual Thing by Annabelle Jacobs, which has been waiting in my TBR list for a year now!
Oh great choice!
So happy to see this event return! I’ve got Josephine Myles’ TAILOR MADE on tap for this week…
Perfect! I totally LOVE that one! Glad you are excited about the event!
You have some great books on the list for this week!
I am going to read Never a Hero by Marie Sexton which has been on my TBR list for (yikes!) three years.
Awesome!
I’m reading Rhys Ford’s Black Dog Blues – so that I’m up to date when the next one comes out! And why did I wait so long – it’s a lot of fun so far.
Oh good choice! I adore Rhys books!0
I love this weeks challenge, i have a reader with books that have been waiting for me to read so this is a perfect way to start the reading challenge month. I will read: I’ll Be Your Drill, Soldier by Crystal Rose.
Oh awesome! I have heard about that one but never read it so I’ll be curious what you think!
For the TBR challenge, I just started Status Update by Annabeth Albert, the first #gaymers book. I figure since the 3rd book just came out, I should get going on it.
Oh great! It is a fabulous series, I’m enjoying it a lot! I really liked the first book and I think they keep getting better
That’s a great list! I’d like to start Fire & Water by Andrew Grey – it’s been on my kindle for a while now! 🙂
