Excerpt taken from Chapter 2- The Audition

“Now, FYI. The panel includes a very famous actor who’s taken on the role of Santa. I’m not sure how many of you actually read the small print on your application form, but by signing the form you’ve all signed a confidentiality agreement. Mark my words; Hambling’s will sue the arse off anyone who leaks his appointment to the press. No devices are permitted to be brought into the audition room. I would also ask you not to request autographs. Anyone who does so will be ejected. This is the last session before we break for lunch. You’ve got ten minutes to warm up, and then you’ll be led into the audition as a group.”

The talk of a very famous actor caused a jolt of electricity through the group. They were released by Janice and so Eli made his way to the far corner of the room, beside a tall mottled glass window. He began to undress, tossing his belongings into a pile on the floor. JJ was soon at his side and also began to remove his coat and sweater.

“Who d’ya think it could be? The famous actor…” Eli asked as he pulled his jumper over his head.

“Dunno. They’ve had some pretty big stars taking the Santa gig over the years. Matt Le Blanc did it three years ago, and then David Hasselhoff…”

“Oh God, yeah, I remember that… and he released that awful Euro-pop single Have a happy Hoffmas.” Eli grimaced. “Wasn’t Idris Elba tipped for it this year? I’m sure I saw that somewhere, maybe Twitter?”

JJ barked an incredulous laugh. “Jesus, he’s being tipped for everything these days. If it’s not Bond, it’s black Santa. Actually, it would be one hell of a statement to have a black Santa. But I’m sure I saw on IMDB that he’s filming Thor.”

Eli and JJ’s conversation was abruptly terminated by a gasp of, “Oh. My. God.” It was Ryan, of course, and he was staring at JJ and Eli as if they were completely naked, which wasn’t far off. The two tall, lithe young men were standing in all-in-one acrobat’s costumes that they’d worn specifically because the costumes had a Christmas theme. The costumes were called ‘second skin suits’, so as expected, they displayed every curve and contour of both men’s lean, athletic physiques. Eli saw Ryan’s eyes flit from his crotch to JJ’s and back again, his jaw slack with amazement. Admittedly, JJ was hung like a bear and really didn’t mind displaying the outline of his cock curving left, up towards his hip, but Eli, who was shorter in height and… length, did blush. The suits had been printed to look like clothing, more specifically, elf outfits. The legs of the suits were red and the printed tunic above was green with a black belt across the waist with a big gold printed buckle. JJ did a twirl and twerked his sculpturally tight ass at Ryan, who turned scarlet. The rest of the group, who couldn’t miss the fun, laughed raucously. Eli would swear if he didn’t know better, that it was JJ who was into men, and not him. Eli shook his head fondly, JJ was such a clown.

Blurb

Detective Fox book coverEvery good Dick needs a sidekick…

Actor Tom Lewis’s world came crashing down when a honey trap and tabloid expose outed him and put pay to his flourishing career. The housewives favorite was most well-known for his role as ‘Detective Fox’ in the quaint British series ‘Malmesbury Murders’. But after the media speculation about his sexuality, the show is in hiatus and Tom hasn’t worked six months.

Now things are getting serious, money running out and Tom needs a job desperately. So when his agent offers him a seasonal acting job, he reluctantly agrees… and takes on the role of Santa for a top London department store.

This decision changes Tom’s luck. When Tom overhears two unidentified store workers discussing a “job to get a little Christmas bonus”. He realizes the ‘job’ is of the illegal sort. Now, Tom could call the police, but then again, wouldn’t it be great for his flagging career if Detective Fox saved the day?

So Fox is on the case, and as every good Dick needs a sidekick, Tom decides a sexy young elf named Eli Mason will fit the role, in more ways than one.”

Bio

Author AvatarBorn in Germany, Isobel Starling spent most of her twenty-year professional career making art. She relocated to the UK and, faced with the dreaded artist’s creative block, Isobel started to write and found she loved it more than making art.

Isobel’s first novel “Fall Together” was a bestseller in the GLBT-Bisexual genre on the ‘All Romance e-books’ site. Her second novel “As You Wish”(Shatterproof Bond #1) is an Amazon bestseller, and its sequel “Illuminate the Shadows”(Shatterproof Bond #2) was awarded a bestseller star on All Romance too. She has just completed her eighth book and signed French and German, translation and publishing rights deals for the whole Shatterproof Bond series.
