Hi everyone! We had an excellent start to our third annual Reading Challenge Month with TBR Pile Week. Now we are moving on to week 2 with New To Me Author Week! If you want more details on the event itself, including specifics on how to enter to win some amazing prizes, check out the kick off post.
This week we will be reading books by authors we have never read. I know for some of us (myself included), we tend to grab our favorite authors time and again, so this is a chance to check out someone new. And maybe we will find some new favorites!
This week is sponsored by Riptide Publishing. They are giving away an amazing prize!
Riptide is donating paperback, advanced copies of a selection of their books, which will be awarded before they are even released! (in the event of an international winner, you will still receive copies of the books, but they will be in ebook format once the books come out)
- Five Dares by Eli Easton
- Foxglove Copse by Alex Beecroft
- The Love Song of Sawyer Bell by Avon Gale
- Kill Game by Cordelia Kingsbrige
- Read My Mind by Kelly Haworth
- Operation Green Card by GB Gordon
- Life on Pause by Erin McLellan
- Suspicious Behavior by LA Witt and Cari Z
And remember all entries throughout the month qualify you for the grand prize sponsored by Dreamspinner Press. They are giving away a Kindle Fire loaded with some great releases!
Here is what we are reviewing this week for the challenge:
Monday
- The Quarterback by Mackenzie Blair
- Stalking Buffalo Bill by J.Leigh Bailey
Tuesday

Be sure to check out these reviews and to leave comments on the post for entries. Plus, read along with us and share a mini review on Friday to earn even more entries!
My New to me Author read is going to be Unouchable by Robert Innes
Sounds good! I haven’t read anything by him either so I’ll be interested to see how it goes!
I have both Mackenzie Blair and Elyse Springer books on my Kindle for this week. If I can, I will finish both. If not, just one of them 🙂
Oh good! Which Elyse Springer? I adored Heels over Head completely. I’ll be interested in your reviews as I’m reading the Mackenzie Blair for my challenge this week.
I have “Whiteout” — one that has amnesia theme. I finished Mackenzie Blair’s, so I definitely CAN comment on your review with something “concrete” *lol*
Oh, that is a good one!
Love this weeks challenge!! I’m definitely going to have so much fun finding some (hopefully awesome) new to me authors.
Oh good!
This will be fun! Thank you, Jay, and thanks also to Riptide.
I’ll be reading St. Nacho’s by Z. A. Maxfield; I’ve heard good things about this book.
Oh, so good! One of my all time favorites and I have reread it a million times. I hope you enjoy it as much as I have!
I’ll be reading Spun! by JL Merrow. I don’t know how this ended up on my TBR but I purchased it recently during a sale
Oh good! I can’t wait to hear what you think!
This week is the most exciting to me because physical books from indie publishers are expensive!
I’ll be reading the bulk of The Glamour Thieves, by Don Allmon, and something else I haven’t picked yet.
I’ll be reading A Charm of Magpies by K.J. Charles. I’ve been wanting to read her books for a while but never quite got to it so here’s my chance! It sounds like fun.
Oh, so good! I hope you love it. One of my all time favorites!
It will be Counterbalance by Aidan Wayne for me. It would also work for week 4 because it was the cover what attracted me to the book in the first place, since I don’t know the author, but I guess I have a lot of those on my tbr list.
I’ve got no idea what I want to read yet but I’m sure I’ll find something. Thanks for sharing what you’ll be reading.
I really wanna read The Quarterback by Mackenzie Blair but felt I should read something already on my shelf, and the fact it wasn’t out when I decided my books ?? My choice is Evasive Maneuvers by Lynn Michaels which I won and have wanted to read so bad but never seemed the right time, lol … let’s just see if I actually get myself to read it because I’ve a lot of authors on my shelf I’ve never read anything from yet (some with multiple books)
I’m reading THE LAWRENCE BROWNE AFFAIR by Cat Sebastian…
Oh, good choice!
These all sound so good!
Just started the two Casus Fortuitus stories from Aussie author (and new to me) Brooke Edwards. I won the first in a giveaway, and although I own another title, this is my first read, and enjoying Mens Rea.
Oh good!
I am reading Stygian by Santino Hassell. I haven’t read anything of theirs since back when ITCoS was still not in book form 😀 Stygian has been on my pile for more than a year so I thought I should pull that one out.
