Hi gang! I am back from a fabulous week at GayRomLit in Portsmouth, VA. GRL is one of my favorite events of the year because it is like coming home. After 7 years attending and a bit longer blogging, I have been lucky enough to make many friends in the community and I love getting a chance to see folks in real life. Not to mention that there are always so many new readers and authors and good friends just waiting to be made. No matter what other events I attend, GRL is always a special chance to reconnect with folks in a way that nothing else quite matches.
I tried to recap as much as possible along the way, but for those who missed my posts on FB, here are links to each of them so you can check things out (these are public so you should be able to see them even if you don’t have a FB account). I have tons of pictures, so you can see what many of your favorite authors look like in the flesh. Or in pajamas. Or in 80s costumes. 😉 And as a special bonus, our fabulous reviewer Sammy was there as well this year for her first GRL! So it was great to see her again as well!
Thank you again to the organizers who work so tirelessly, as well as to everyone else who helped make the event so special. I loved meeting new readers and authors and catching up with friends who I have met over the years. It was a great event and I can’t wait until next year in Albuquerque!
Just a few pics below. Tons more if you follow the links above…
