I’m Raissa, and I’m just dropping in to talk to y’all about the two newsletters I help run alongside Chris McHart, the LGBT Romance Deals newsletter and the new LGBT Audiobooks newsletter. LGBT Romance Deals has been around for a while, but the Audiobooks counterpart is a recent project we’re working on getting rolling.
I’ll chat about them first then go into more author-specific information for those who might be interested in advertising with us.
LGBT Romance Deals focuses on sales, freebies, new releases, and old favorites. It comes out twice a week, on Tuesdays and Fridays, and it’s also posted to the website to make things easier for folks to sort through. Though it mostly ends up with M/M content, we also get F/F and menage submissions, so there’s plenty to find. My TBR list is insane from helping to work on this thing, I swear, and it gets longer every time! You can sign up for the newsletter here, and you can ‘like’ our Facebook page to see our new posts too. 🙂
There aren’t a lot of ways to find audiobooks beyond a few recommendation groups on Facebook, which is why I created the LGBT Audiobooks newsletter. It’s only about a month or so old, though it’s grown much more quickly than we might’ve imagined. This should be released weekly, though it’s being released monthly for the time being. The goal is to connect listeners with audiobooks they may not have heard of, as well as to help authors and narrators get their books in front of a new audience. This means we get a mix of new releases and older titles. We usually have a giveaway in each edition! You can sign up here or ‘like’ the page on Facebook to see the new posts and get updates on frequency and content.

Here’s a little more information for authors and narrators.
We have over 1,000 subscribers to the LGBT Romance Deals newsletter and over 200 subscribers to the LGBT Audiobooks newsletter. The newsletters are also advertised on their Facebook pages as well as shared by my PA to different groups for maximum exposure. Our goal is to provide affordable advertising to authors and narrators. We actively promote the newsletters to benefit both readers and authors alike. Currently, submissions to the LGBT Audiobooks newsletter are free, and they will be until we reach 250 subscribers. (We currently have 215+, so the free days are coming to an end.) We’re working on the frequency of issues, though they should be 1x/week before we start charging. Authors and narrators can submit here.
