Hi everyone! It is hard to believe, but we are about to start our final week of our 5th Annual Reading Challenge Month! Every year the time seems to fly so fast! If you haven’t been following along, there is still one more week to get involved. If you want more details on the event itself, including specifics on how to enter for prizes, check out the kick off post.
This week our challenge is a new one for the event, Older/Younger Hero Week. I think this one needs a bit of explaining because we have a had a little confusion on what it entails. Basically, we are reading books with EITHER an older hero (over 40) or a younger hero (under 21). The book doesn’t have to have both, nor does it need to be an age gap romance (thought it can be). It is just all about books featuring an older OR younger man (and yes, I know 40 isn’t old, but the book options for actual older heroes are pretty thin on the ground). I love this challenge because I really enjoy both new adult stories, as well as books that feature older men finding love in their lives.
As always, what we are reading is listed below, and you are welcome to join us by reading along one of our choices. But if you need some help finding books of your own, here are some links to our reviews that might help: Young Love, Young Adult, Older Hero.
Older/Younger Hero Week is sponsored by JMS Books. They are donating FIVE $20 JMS Bookstore Gift Cards! Hurray! So another great prize this week for readers who join in with us by commenting on challenge posts or reading along with their own challenge books and writing a mini review on Friday (check out all the rules and details on the kick off post).
