Favorite Secondary Characters of the Unbreakable Bonds Series

The main characters of any book tend to hog the spotlight. It’s only natural. It’s their story.

But any great book has a cast of secondary characters that have a way of stepping onto the page and shining light a bright star. They are the unexpected scene stealers. They are the people you pray get their own book at a later date because they so deserve a happily ever after of their own.

After eight books, I’m happy to say that the Unbreakable Bonds series has a few characters that stand out in my mind, but I thought I would visit with a few of my favorites.

Geoffrey Ralse

Geoffrey will also climb to the top of the list when it comes to talking about unexpected gems. When he first appeared, crawling across Snow’s lap in Shiver, we knew we’d found gold. This adorable drunk twink with so many hands adored Snow, despite his gruff and grumbly exterior. And there was just something about Geoffrey that made Snow a little less angry.

We knew after we finished the first book that we had to see Geoffrey again. So, it was only natural for him to make an appearance in Shatter. And now that he was in two books, well we had to make it a running joke for the first four books in the series that he just kept appearing in their lives. It gave us the chance to see what kind of craziness would come out of Geoffrey’s mouth and to see him flirt with Snow a little more.

But as we worked with Geoffrey, we discovered that there was so much more to him than just a flirty, club boy. And it was only natural for him to kick off the Ward Security series spin-off with. I’m so glad we were able to give him his own book with Psycho Romeo.

Sarah Carleton

I think that Sarah Carleton is the true unsung hero of the Unbreakable Bonds series, because Lucas’s rarely seen lawyer was the only thing keeping the boys out of jail far too often. The diminutive woman on stiletto heels bowed to no one and took no prisoners when it came to protecting Lucas and his friends. While Lucas might pay very well to keep his shark-like lawyer on his side, I think that over the many years of working for Lucas, she developed an older sister mentality for him and his friends. She was the overprotective older sister who would do anything to keep her family safe.

And I’ll admit that I was always happy to see her pop up on the page. I can so clearly see in my mind this little woman standing up to Lucas and his friends, taking zero shit from any of them.

The Triplets

If Rowe and Noah were the heart and rebellious spirit of Ward Security, then The Triplets were the wicked smart brain. The tech team of Ward Security started with only Gidget, or Jennifer Eccleston if you prefer. She was the sweet hacker that looked like a kindergarten teacher. But as Ward Security grew, it was only natural that she was going to need some help, so Rowe added Quinn Lake and then Cole McCord to form The Triplets.

This fun little hive mind have the entire city, if not the country, at their fingertips. If it’s possible, they can find anyone and uncover any secret. Sure, a lot of their methods aren’t exactly legal, but they are always working hard to make sure that the bad guy doesn’t win. Be warned that if you walk into their office, there’s a good chance you’re not going to understand what they’re talking about. Just bring a gift of chocolate and you’ll be fine.

For me, I love their endless enthusiasm. They are always happy to jump in and tackle any problem. The world is their puzzle to solve.

I hope you’ve enjoyed meeting these characters from the Unbreakable Bonds world. If you’ve not read the series yet, we hope that you make a stop in Cincinnati and meet the boys. The series is now complete with eight novels and four short story collections. Jump into the adventure today!

Blurb

Someone has it out for Rialto.

Ian Banner is loving his hectic life. He’s newly married, ready to start a family, and opening a new restaurant. All his dreams are coming true.

The last thing he needs is a problem with his restaurant.

But when one attack after another comes, he grows convinced he has another enemy.

Ian tries to handle things by himself, but his friends are soon drawn in when the attacks become violent. That’s when Ian realizes the target isn’t Rialto. It’s him.

Rialto is the final installment in the Unbreakable Bonds series and features sexy times, Daciana snuggles, overprotective family, fire, and of course, code names.
