Today I am so pleased to welcome Cari Z to Joyfully Jay. Cari has come to talk to us about her latest release, House Rules. She has also brought along copies to give away to everyone! Please join me in giving her a big welcome!
Hey friends! Thanks to Jay for having me here again, this time for an entirely different reason. My last visit, I was a walking sadface emoji because I’d just severed ties with Dreamspinner Press and taken back the book I was going to be promoting. That situation still isn’t entirely resolved, but in the interim I’ve started pulling myself and my backlist together and moved on. It’s time to adult like a boss!
In that spirit, what I’m bringing to you today is a giveaway, only it’s the kind of giveaway where everyone is a winner and life is sunshine and rainbows. The Oscars are on the 9th, and I’ve got a short story in my backlist called House Rules, originally published in Riptide’s Rules To Live By anthology, that I wanted to resurrect to coincide with that. Looking at it, though, I thought, “Nah, I can’t charge people for this. It’s too short.” But several of my author friends pointed out that I can use it as an enticement to my dear readers to follow me hither and yon. So, I’ve set it up as a giveaway on Prolific Works.
You don’t have to sign up for my newsletter to get it. I hope you do, but I’m not going to force anyone to get more emails. If newsletters aren’t your style, but you like my work and want to read more, check out my brand-new Facebook Group, Cari Z’s Crew! You’ll get exclusive excerpts, a say in where I direct my muse when it comes to writing new stuff, and freebies. Lots of ‘em. I’ve got a closet full of books I need to empty, people, help me!
A list of rules to live by.
After watching the man he loves walk the red carpet with Jonathan’s rival, jealousy leads Jonathan to break the rules his lover has established. He can’t decide which he enjoys more: his punishment, or the reward afterward. Good thing he gets both.
