Excerpt
He rocked into the back of my hand and my brain short-circuited. All of a sudden we were kissing. My hands were all over him and his were expertly undressing me. I ached for him. How many times had I jacked off imagining him doing just this? His mouth on mine. His kisses devastated. He slammed me into the counter, topping from the bottom, leading my inexperience with a gentle grace. He moved my hands to where he wanted them. Guiding without judgment. Sage knew what he wanted in bed and he was willing to take it.
He tasted like everything I remembered. Sophistication and musky elegance. A refined fragrance to my small-town rough edges. He smoothed me and I hated him for it, all while he set a fire that never went out.

The last I said into his mouth.
“Okay.” He nipped at my tongue, before fucking his in and out of my mouth, each stroke laced in promises. “But you have to stop kissing me.”
I fisted both hands in his shirt, stopping myself and finally finding the resolution I’d had all those years ago. He stumbled back, the surprise written all over him.
“Are you going to tell me why this time?”
“The why is irrelevant,” I snarled, replacing the lust with rage.
I had to hold onto rage even if rage was the hardest emotion for me. I didn’t like to feel it, but I was pretty good at holding a petty grudge when I needed to.
“I haven’t a clue, Adam. There is something you’re not telling me.” There was hurt behind his eyes.
His scent made me stagger. He was too close. I nearly grabbed him again. I ground my teeth, knowing I had to escape the room.
“Are you scared?” he asked.
Terrified.
“Don’t come any closer.” I pressed my eyes closed, unable to look at him for another second without giving him everything he wanted. What I wanted. “I don’t want to see you ever again.”
“Don’t you think that’s a bit extreme, Adam?”
“Don’t use my name,” I said through my teeth.
“Adam,” he said in his musical, breathy sex voice.
