Hi all! I hope you had a great week!
I picked up my college student this week, so we are settling back into life with all four of us home again. This weekend, we got to spend a belated mother’s day with my family, so it was nice to get some of our first hugs in a long time. We are also enjoying some warm weather here finally after a chilly spring. Including the cicadas! Our area isn’t nearly as bad as most it seems. Most of my friends have them covering the ground, but while we can hear them, we are only catching a few flying around. Are the 17-year cicadas something everyone has, or is it a regional thing? Let me tell you, those suckers are big!
I’ve been doing tons of reading lately as work has been a little quieter, so I am finally getting a bit caught up. I hope you all are getting in some great books. Here is what we have planned to review on the blog this week…

This looks like a great week for me! I haven’t read any of these so I’m anxiously awaiting your reviews.
Thank you!
Cicadas are definitely a regional thing. Glad to hear that you are not overrun!
Testing!
@Jay, you might wish to know that the WordPress follow posts feature is not working. I’ve had the same issue of not being notified of follow on comments on several different sites.
Hmmm, ok thank you! I’ll take a look
So, I can subscribe and ‘confirm follow’ but then I am not notified of comments. I only saw your reply above because I returned to check. Other sites with the same issue, which has been ongoing for months, are Dear Author and Smexy Books.
Thanks Kareni, I’ll look into it further. If it is happening across multiple blogs, it sounds likely it is a WP problem, but I’ll see if I can find out more or if there are alternatives.
Thank you, Jay!
