Excerpt
He was, by far, the worst courtesan Lucious had ever had.
A stammering, blushing mess, uncouth and presumptuous, chastising him more than actually trying to seduce him. Most courtesans would’ve been on their knees by now. Not this one. He was proud, regal almost, as if he couldn’t lower himself to even touch a Þrælar. How exhilarating.
“What’s your name?”
“Julian, my lord.”
“Julian of what?”
He hesitated. “Dalvík.”
A lie.
“Really? You don’t have a Dalvík accent.”
The boy squirmed under his gaze.
“I-I left when I was young. I haven’t been there in many years,” he stammered. “More wine?”
Lucious regarded him coolly. “No thanks. I’m done for the evening.”
“Oh. Then how about more suitable accommodation.”
“I’ll seek my pleasures elsewhere,” Lucious replied, watching Julian’s face fall. He stood, draping his heavy fur coat over his shoulders. “Good night.”
“M-my lord—” Julian got to his feet. His hand shot out, almost as if to touch him, but he jerked it back at the last minute. “Do—am I not pleasing to you? If I’ve offended you with talks about Zathos, please disregard my foolishness.”
“You please me.” Lucious stepped forward, his massive body towering over the boy. “You please me greatly.” Julian shrank back. “Then why?”
“Soon.”
It was only a matter of time. Of course, he’d fuck the brat. Spread him wide and see what was inside. Nothing would please him more than watching Julian succumb to him. First, he’d train him, break him until he was nothing more than a lump of clay. Ready to be sculpted and molded.

Lucious inhaled his intoxicating scent.
A warm blanket of aroma. The lamps cast a soft glow over his skin. He was so close Lucious could count his freckles, almost lick the stain of cherry from his lips. Julian gripped his robe, his hands twisting the fabric as he strained his neck up.
It shook him to the core. This jarl—this creature unraveled him. Like the threads in a tapestry, he loosened, curling onto the ground. Yet he didn’t miss the kink in his brow or the subtle glint of danger.
Julian couldn’t be trusted.

J.K Jones is a University Graduate with a B.A in Sociology, also a TESOL certificate for teaching English as a Second Language. Literature is in my veins and the words pour out of my blood. I love Sundays spend drinking massive amounts of coffee and lingering over whichever book I am currently enthralled with. Favorite movies: American Beauty. Duh. What can I say? It’s a classic.
