Today I am so pleased to welcome A.M. Johnson to Joyfully Jay. A.M. has come to talk to us about her latest release, Forever, Con Amor. She has also brought along a great giveaway. Please join me in giving her a big welcome!
I didn’t think it through completely, my body gravitating toward what it had wanted since, God, I think since the first time he walked into Pride House. All that attitude begging me to tame it. Hoping like hell I hadn’t misread the building pressure between us, I lifted his chin with my forefinger.
“It can be, Marcos.” Again, he didn’t shy away from my touch, my heart thundering louder than the storm outside as I swept a strand of his hair behind his ear and dusted my thumb along the length of his jaw. “I want to kiss you.”
His lashes fluttered, his eyes hooded as he stared up at me. “Okay.”
“Okay?” I asked, gently gripping the back of his neck, my thumb resting on his pulse.
“It’s your birthday,” he said, leaning into me, and hooked his fingers under the hem of my shirt. “You should get what you want.”
He could’ve pulled away at any minute, laughed this off like he’d been fucking with me, and part of me hesitated, expecting it. But the lightning crashed somewhere in my periphery, illuminating the room, and all I saw was him, his mouth parted and waiting. With my fingers buried in the soft curls of his hair, I lowered my lips to his. He tasted like strawberries as I tentatively explored the curve of his mouth. Marcos’s hands slid up my chest and he linked his arms around my neck, his tongue diving past my lips on a moan. My hand found his waist, dragging our bodies together as I pivoted my hips, pushing him against the counter. Dropping his arms, I thought he was going to end this, shove me away. But he lifted his body onto the edge of the counter and curled his long legs around my hips, rutting against me. I groaned, lowering my mouth to his neck, then his jaw, until I found my way back to the sweet taste of his mouth.
“Chance,” he panted, framing my face with his hands. “What are we doing?”
I kissed the corner of his mouth, his cheek, buried my nose in his neck and whispered, “Something good.”
For Him, Book 4
I never in a million years thought I would want a guy who smells like a tree and probably hugs them on the daily, but alas, you’ve somehow snuck your sexy, khaki-covered ass into my life. It doesn’t help that we’re stuck living in this apartment together for God knows how long, but I can’t stop thinking about that kiss. I know I said it was one and done, and maybe that’s the smart thing to do since I’m not convinced of your emotional availability. Maybe I’m a masochist. Or, maybe I might kind of like you. I said what I said.
No regrets, Marcos~
Your ability to simultaneously compliment and insult me is probably one of my favorite things about you. I think it’s part of your charm. Does that make me a masochist as well? I definitely like to torture myself. The night I kissed you, I knew it had the potential to push you away, but I couldn’t stop myself from wanting you. I still can’t. You can flirt and bully me all you like. I’m not going anywhere. I’ve finally found my home, and it’s here. And just in case you need me to be more specific, I like you too.
