Exclusive Excerpt
Will couldn’t get used to seeing these people from his past. Sitting on the bench, he marvelled at how quiet things were here. He couldn’t remember the last time he had experienced proper stillness. The sun peeked out from behind the clouds, and he let himself enjoy the feeling of the warmth.
“Are you auditioning for a shampoo advert?”
He opened his eyes to one of the most handsome men he’d seen in a long time, including Andrew and Michael. Will could have lost himself in the man’s dark brown eyes plus he had that whole gelled quiff and stubble thing going on. A sure-fire winning combination for Will.
“Sorry?”
“Just kidding you. Will?”
“Hardeep?”
They shook hands. Will glanced down at the man’s big hairy forearms and pictured himself gripping them.
“You okay?” Hardeep said.
“Yeah sorry. Was miles away for a second.”
“Anywhere nice?”
“Oh, I reckon so.” Will stood, anxious to get moving and this embarrassing introduction behind them.
“Titus looked down disdainfully at Beeb who valiantly tried to sniff him but lacked the height to achieve the task.
“They say dogs take after their owners. He is dangerously like my father at the moment.”
They both laughed and the ice was broken. They set off up the road to Andrew’s cottage. The two dogs took one side each of the two men.
“How are you finding being back?”
“It’s not as bad as I thought it was going to be.”
“What did you think we were going to do? Burn you on the green?”
They ambled along the lane, chatting until they reached Andrew’s gate. He stood leaning on it with Sally waiting patiently at his feet. The sun glinted in his blond hair that he’d swept up in a bun. The tight-fitting T-shirt seemed to be struggling to contain his muscular build. Will found himself licking his lips. Andrew grinned as they approached.
Will thanked his lucky stars to be spending the day with a bit of eye candy. Being stuck in the house for a week and in a kitchen for what seemed like an eternity, it had been a while since he’d just hung out.

Bio
I have written for as long as I could write. In fact, before, when I would dictate to my auntie. I love to read, and I love to create worlds and characters.
I live in the English countryside. When I’m not writing, I like to get out there and think through the next scenario I’m going to throw my characters into.
Inspiration can be found anywhere, on a train, in a restaurant or in an office. I am always in search of the next character to find love in one of my stories. In a world of apps and online dating, it is important to remember love can be found when you least expect it.
