Today I am so pleased to welcome Kate Hawthorne to Joyfully Jay. Kate has come to share the new covers for The Giving Consent Series. Please join me in giving her a big welcome!

Hi everyone!

I’m so excited to share these updated covers here today!

The Giving Consent series was originally published in 2019 and it definitely felt like time to give them a new look. All four of these books have such great characters, and I thought (for the most part) this would be an opportunity to give some new faces some love.

This series has always been special as it was when I first started to seriously dip my toes into what it would be like to incorporate kink into my books. I think there’s always an underlying thread of power exchange in my stories, even if it’s not as overt as it is in these four books. They were fun to write because I think it’s so exciting to navigate the newness of a relationship when there is the potential for imbalance due to Dom/sub roles. I like being able to show all of the creative ways love can work for everyone.

So, with that said..let me tell you a little bit about the series. All four of these books CAN standalone, but I think they’re best enjoyed if you read in order.

Worth the Risk – a kinky second chance romance between former high school sweethearts, Landon and Gregory. Landon has moved on to open a BDSM club (inside of a CHURCH!!) with his best friend, Verity. He’s built a good life for himself, and then everything goes off the rails when Gregory shows back up in his life. Their story is about navigating past hurt and future promise, with lots of spanking, kneeling, and impact play along the way.

Worth the Wait – a twist on the classic Daddy (no age play) book, with young bartender Callum getting involved in a long distance relationship with a sexy, older man. Jack and Callum planned to keep a continent between them, but an unexpected health scare brings them closer than either of them had planned.

Worth the Fight – features an established couple, Justin and Micah, and the way they accidentally stumble into opening their marriage up to a third man, Keith. Justin is one of my favorite dominant characters, and he’s perfect for Micah, and perfect for Keith. Even though Keith has a troubled past that becomes their present, their love is strong and so it Justin’s hand.

Worth the Chance – Verity finally gets their HEA. Landon’s best friend and co-owner of Rapture is a non-binary switch who has spent months fighting off Gregory’s friend Aaron’s advances. Their size and sexual preferences aren’t the only things different between them, but Aaron proves to Verity that he has what it takes and he’s not scared of a little work.

These covers are for e-book and paperback, and will be available on Amazon before the new year. As (almost) always, they’re designed by the incomparable Samantha Santana of Amai Designs.
