Hi all! I hope you had a great week!
We are full on into summer here after several weeks of unseasonably lovely weather. We got some of the wildfire smoke drifting down here this week, but nothing as bad as NYC and all the folks further north. Canadians, I hope you are all hanging in there! I can’t even imagine what it must be like closer to the actual fires.
I also just wanted to share that my oldest daughter is officially set to be a kindergarten teacher next fall! She was hired by the school back in February, but just found out her actual placement and she is so excited! This is her first job out of college and at the same school where she was a student teacher. She loves the school and the kids, but it is also a particularly needy community, with lots of food and housing insecurity and families affected by drugs, incarceration, etc. So the school and families aren’t able to provide much in the way of supplies. She has put together a teacher wish list for her classroom if anyone is interested in helping to support a new teacher and some awesome students. Here is the link to her wishlist.
