Hi all! I hope you had a great week!

It is Labor Day weekend in the U.S., which marks the unofficial end of summer and is a federal holiday off work for many folks. I am having a fun but busy weekend. Friday night we had our monthly neighborhood dinner with friends. Yesterday, we went to the University of Maryland football game (my husband and I both graduated from there and my younger daughter now attends). Then, today we are celebrating at our friend’s annual Labor Day party at their mountain house. Then off to party #2 as we celebrate my dad’s 80th birthday with a big family dinner. Dad decided he wanted us all in matching shirts, which is usually NOT his thing, so just picture 10 of us in “birthday crew” shirts, lol. Then by Monday, I will need a rest!

Luckily, vacation isn’t too far away! We were able to squeeze in a quick beach trip with kids before the start of the school year, but my husband and I haven’t had an actual non-working vacation since some time last year. So we decided even though it is September, we were going to take time away at the beach together and actually not work while we are there! I am leaving later this week and plan to be a giant lump on a beach chair on the sand for as much as possible!
