Today I am so pleased to welcome Ana Ashley to Joyfully Jay. Ana has come as part of the Rainbow Readers Cruise Blog Tour to talk to us about her latest release, The Lost Fiancé Twist. She has also brought along a great giveaway. Please join me in giving her a big welcome!
What would you do if you thought you’d been ghosted by the man you had just proposed to?
And he’d said yes so why would he suddenly disappear?
Angry? Confused? Sad?
What if he then turned up in your life by coincidence a whole year later and it turns out he had an accident that wiped out three years worth of memories?
This was the premise I started with when I was given a snippet of a plot bunny that had a trope I’d never considered writing before. Amnesia.
Somehow, as I waited at a busy airport, and during my flights I couldn’t stop thinking about this premise. Before I arrived back at home I had the plot of three books, telling the stories of three brothers who come from a meddling Portuguese family.
Lex and Adam (twins) and their older brother, Noah, are the stars of the series and book one starts with Lex.
This is what you can expect from The Lost Fiancé Twist
- Amnesia
- Second Chance
- Chaotic family
- A voyeur gecko
- Unexpected dates
- Two men destined to be together
- All the cozy feels + LOTS of heat…
I had a blast writing this book. It surprised me at every corner. From Emery’s obsession with ice cream, to the gecko that made his home in Lex’s apartment, and the crazy family in between, it was a journey.
Book two is in the works already.
Noah, the older brother in the trio is due his happy ever after. One he may not be super happy about initially, but I’m working on him.
In the meantime, readers can enjoy The Lost Fiancé Twist and once you meet two little side characters from that book, Ren and Frederick, you’ll know why I had to give them a story too.
The Christmas Roommate is available to buy now from my website (www.anaashleyshop.com) alongside the audiobook, narrated by Alexander Cendese. This short Christmas story will be available on all retailers from November 10.

Excerpt
“Okay, little bro, what’s up?” Adam asked.
“I went to the farmers’ market this morning and bumped into Ellie.”
“Victoria’s sister?”
“Yeah. She wanted to introduce me to a friend…” I paused to take a breath because the image of Emery’s face when I turned around was still burning in my head.
He looked so much the same but different. Same wild curly hair, same green eyes, but he wasn’t the same Emery.
“And he’s cute, but you don’t know how to ask him out,” Noah said, cutting through my thoughts.
“You want some tips on what to cook for the guy on your first date,” River added.
“Nah,” Adam said. “Those aren’t Code Red reasons.”
Noah raised his beer to his lips. “You need sex tips. It’s been a while, and you’re nervous. I get you, bro. I mean, I don’t think I’ve ever been there, but I sympathize.”
“You’re such a manwhore,” Adam said.
“Why? Just because I enjoy sex?”
“Don’t you ever get tired?” Adam asked.
“Of what? Enjoying myself? Life’s too short.” He put his empty beer on the coffee table and sat back on the chair.
“It was Emery,” I blurted out.
What followed was complete silence.
They all looked at each other before River said, “Are you sure?”
“Of course I’m sure. Do you think I’d forget the man I’m in love with in just a year?”
Noah sighed, and Adam looked at me with pity. I was going to fucking punch them.
“Lex…”
I stood up. “Fuck you all. I don’t need your pity.”
“What do you need?” Adam asked.
“Help figuring out what to do next.”

Relationship status: it’s complicated.
Being ghosted by the love of your life sucks. Zero out of ten, do not recommend.
One day, we’re exchanging rings and picking honeymoon destinations, and the next, Emery is just…gone.
A year later, as I’m forcing myself to move on, I bump into him.
While my brothers would love to find creative ways to get the truth out of Emery, I just want answers.
When it becomes clear Emery isn’t lying about losing his memory in a car accident, I have a choice to make.
Do I let him go or try to win him back?
The Lost Fiancé Twist is book one in Ana Ashley’s new series featuring the charming and far-too-handsome-for-their-own-good Spencer Brothers.
Expect romance, heat, fun, and plenty of laughs from a loving but slightly too meddlesome family unit.
