Thank you to Joyfully Jay for hosting me here today! I’m excited to let all readers know about the 5 Year Anniversary Celebration for my bestselling Heat of Love series. Join over 100 fans and readers who’ve already come together to celebrate the books Slow Heat, Alpha Heat, and Bitter Heat, and the beloved characters within them.

Whether you’re a fan of the books or a new reader, we’ve got something for you. Dazzling NSFW art, striking Special Edition paperbacks, and gorgeous Limited Edition hardbacks (which will NEVER be available on Amazon or any big retail outlet.)

And for those who don’t have the interest in or room for physical items, we’re also offering up ebook files with the new Special Edition and Limited Edition covers. The Limited Edition cover ebooks will NEVER be available for sale on major retail sites, and it’s unlikely that the Special Edition covers will be either.

We also have spectacular Book Boxes to choose from. The Deluxe Book Box offers the Limited Edition Hardbacks, along with a in-universe themed fan goodies, physical art cards for the NSFW photos, coloring pages, and more. The really are worth checking out, and supplies are limited, so if you’re interested be sure to grab them.

Why are we celebrating via Kickstarter?

Five years ago, I published the third book in the Heat of Love series, Bitter Heat, and I really wanted to celebrate with all the wonderful fans who’ve made these books so successful.

But, in addition to wanting to celebrate the anniversary, I also wanted to bring the world of Heat of Love to readers outside the Amazon eco-system. Being beholden entirely to the Mighty ‘Zon has become increasingly suffocating as an author for multiple reasons, and simply “going wide”—publishing to Barnes & Noble and other big sites—isn’t sufficient to reach the adventurous readers this series attracts.

Kickstarter is built for adventure! It encourages creators to play, make, and grow in order to provide the audience with what they truly want: beautiful books, stunning art, quality audiobooks, book boxes, and more.

In addition, seeing the harsh effects of the inevitable encroachment of AI in arts, I wanted to design a campaign that lifts up human-made books, visual art, and voice acting. Human creativity and skill deserve to be cheered and supported. Kickstarter is perfectly positioned to highlight the work of these artists.

Lastly, as a member of the LGBT+ community, I’m thrilled to find another way to share wonderfully queer content with a wider, accepting audience. The amazing campaigns I’ve backed here over the last year have demonstrated what a welcoming atmosphere Kickstarter regulars have created. It’s been so comforting and inspiring for me. I’ve had the opportunity to support everything from sapphic graphic novels to gay films to a queer board game and even a lesbian-owned restaurant!

There seems no better way to tap into the excitement of the queer community, and of fans, old and new, than to put together a Kickstarter campaign and invite them all to share in the joy of your creations.
