Cameron Fraser is back home to Scotland to pack up his medical practice before settling in London with his lovers, Blake Thornton and Ashley Linden. It has been a month since the three officially came together and they have all never been happier. Cam is excited to show Blake and Ash around Edinburgh and share some of his old life with them in the two weeks they are in town. But the trip is also giving Cam a chance to reflect on the upcoming changes to his life, as well as his past with his former lover, Hugh, with whom he shared a home and a medical practice.

Cameron can’t help but worry a bit about how he fits in with his lovers, particularly as they see his life and his home in Scotland. They are both young, wealthy, and titled. Cam knows he will never fully fit in and wonders if he can give them the life they want. But Ashley and Blake love Cam as much as they love one another. He is the missing piece that helps them all fit together and one they have no desire to live without. Now, Cam has to trust in the new bond he has built with Ash and Blake as they move forward into their new lives together.

Marked Out with Greater Brightness continues the story started in As Many Stars for Cameron, Blake, and Ashely. Although I haven’t seen a series title, these books do feature the same characters and the stories follow upon one another, so they are best read in order. After reading the first book, I was really excited to see that author K.L. Noone was considering additional stories for this triad and I really enjoyed this second book. This time we are in Cam’s POV as we follow the three men to Scotland. They decided at the end of the first book that they would all live together in London, with Cam serving as Ashley’s official physician as cover for their relationship. This story starts about a month after the end of the first, as Ash and Blake join Cam as he packs up his home and his practice for the move. I liked the POV shift here, as it gives us a chance to get more of Blake’s story. There is some nice poignancy here for him as he looks back at his life with Hugh and makes this transition forward to a life in London with his new loves.

As the older of the three men and the only one not part of the aristocracy, Cameron starts the story with some insecurities about his place among them. But Blake and Ash show Cam how much they love him and how much he fits with their triad. We get some sexy scenes as the men continue to explore kink together. There are also some nice, quieter moments as they enjoy just spending time together and there is a good fit among the three of them. As Cam notes, while Blake and Ashley may be nobility, all three of the men have passions and interests and are working at the things they love. So it gives some nice balance to their dynamic as they support one another.

This is a shorter story, but Noone does a nice job packing a lot into it. I am enjoying following along with Blake, Cam, and Ash and I am looking forward to the third story from Ashely’s POV.
