Today I am so pleased to welcome Nico Jaye to Joyfully Jay. Nico has come to talk to us about her latest release, He’s Just Knot That Into You. She has also brought along an exclusive excerpt and a great giveaway! Please join me in giving Nico a big welcome!
Hi, everyone! Happy (almost) April Fool’s Day!
Thank you so much to Joyfully Jay for hosting me today while I chat a little about my new book, He’s Just Knot That Into You. I had a lot of fun writing this fluffy werewolf novella and am excited for you to meet Tanner and Jon. =)
He’s Just Knot That Into You begins with Tanner’s search for his mate. Tanner knows his mate’s out there, but he doesn’t know exactly who it is. Hence…dating!
Now, if you can imagine, going on a date with the wrong person could be pretty spectacular…ly terrible. Like…April Fool’s Day ‘is someone playing a ridiculous joke on me?’ terrible. Tanner discovers this when his quest to find his mate turns into a comedy of errors.
The excerpt below is a little snippet from one of those failed dates. Hope you like it! If you do decide to give He’s Just Knot That Into You a try, then prepare yourself for a whole parade of these putzes…with the right mate at the end, of course. *winks*

“Whoa, whoa, whoa, bro!” Dale exclaimed, his own jacket in hand.
Tanner looked up from adjusting his collar.
“You’re going already?” Dale asked, his eyes bugging.
“Yes….” Tanner couldn’t understand why Dale would want him there.
“But dude, what about Ms. Dark and Delicious?”
“I thought you were interested in her,” Tanner said, confused.
“Well, yeah, but c’mon, you’re gonna be my wingman, right?” Dale looked at Tanner expectantly. “I mean, why else were we going out tonight unless it was to get us some tail?”
Tanner couldn’t hold back his grimace at the thought of anyone except his mate. While he might have been willing a year—or even a month—ago to go on the prowl, such a lifestyle held no appeal now. And even in the past, he certainly would have had no interest in extending his time in Dale’s company.
“Sorry, but that’s not really my scene,” Tanner said. “I should probably take off.”
Dale’s face fell. “Really? What about her friend?” he asked, his gaze darting to the Asian woman who stood with the brunette who had caught his interest.
Tanner’s smile felt fake, but he couldn’t come up with anything better. “You’ll just have to charm them both.”
Dale’s blond eyebrows shot up. “Both….” He said it slowly, relishing the word.
“Yup,” Tanner said as they moved out of the seated dining area. He clapped his hand on Dale’s shoulder when they stood a few feet away from the women, to whom he sent a mental apology for the idiot heading their way. “Go get ’em, buddy.”
He made it outside unscathed and took in a deep lungful of the warm springtime air.
Well.
That had been a disaster.
As he walked back to the parking lot, Tanner couldn’t help his next thought.
At least She makes it obvious who isn’t going to work.

When Tanner moves to Chicago for a new job, he experiences his First Shift, a revelation that signifies he’s met his mate since the last full moon. The only problem? He doesn’t know who it is. To find his mate, he enlists his new assistant Jon to arrange a series of dates, but each one turns out more disastrous than the last.
With the next full moon quickly approaching, Tanner finally determines the identity of his true mate. Unfortunately, Jon has since disappeared, and Tanner must now begin a new search. Is it really Jon’s family crisis pulling him away, or is Jon just not that into him?
Bio
Nico Jaye is a fan of all things HEA and has dragged her romance collection along for her moves from San Francisco to Los Angeles to Chicago to New York and back. She thinks reading is awesome and loves that she can hang out night after night with crinoline-wearing debutantes, brawny firemen in suspenders, and werewolf shifters with Scottish brogues. An overall feline enthusiast, Nico secretly (or not so secretly?) adores Hello Kitty, cat GIFs, spontaneous traveling, pretending to be crafty, emoticons, hot menfolk, and parenthetical statements (not necessarily in that order). After starting as the pitcher for Team Awesome (literally) and visiting places like South Africa, Oman, and Fiji, Nico discovered that letting the boys in her head tell her where they want to go could actually be the most exciting journey of all.

I like what I’ve read so far. Count me in as well. I haven’t read anything by Ms. Jaye but I think I might enjoy this one.
I just said the other day that a humorous shifter story would be right up my alley, and this looks like it would fit the bil. 🙂
