Hi Everyone! I’m Rory Maxwell (she/her) and I’m so excited that I finally figured out a way to go on a cruise! I’ve been wanting to try one out for ages, but my family aren’t into the idea, so getting to go with a whole bunch of MM romance writers and readers is the perfect solution! If you’re looking for me, I’ll be the one under an umbrella, desperately trying not to burn myself to a crisp! Pina Colada’s prevent sunburn, right?

I’m still a newer author so hi to those of you I haven’t met before! I write contemporary MM and MMM+ romance set in the small, fictional North Carolina town of Split Rock. All of my guys find their perfect match, but the pairings just happen to be a little bit unconventional (think age gaps and surprise connections). I love writing stories with mild angst and HEAs that make your heart feel full.

I’m currently finishing up the fifth book in my Split Rock Ranch series, Something Unprofessional. It has a sassy boy who’s got a larger-than-life crush on his off-limits boss, and a Daddy who is more than aware that he shouldn’t be lusting after his personal assistant. Then there’s a winter masquerade, a kink club, and one of my favorite tropes–only one bed!

Ev and Gabe’s story will be a little field trip to the big city but with plenty of my ranch guys popping in for cameos. I’m a total sucker for characters crossing over to other books and series, so I’m sure these guys are going to be around for a long time.

Something Unprofessional will be out in late May, plenty of time to check it out before the cruise! I can’t wait to meet all of you in Florida!

Bio

rory maxwell cruise badgeRory Maxwell (she/her) discovered romance novels on her mom’s bookshelf when she was probably too young to be reading them—the reward for being a nosy kid with great reading comprehension. The magic of a dial-up internet connection led her to the wonderful world of MM fanfiction a few years later and she fell in love with the genre. In 2019 she woke up with a plot bunny, opened a word doc, and started trying to figure out how this writing stuff worked.

Rory grew up outside of Washington, DC, moved away, and then came back for reasons she doesn’t fully understand. An artist and writer, she always has too many exciting ideas and not nearly enough free time. One day, she hopes to escape to the mountains where she can work from home and write as much as she wants. In the meantime, she splits her time between her day job and writing MM romance with endearing characters, lots of feels, plenty of heat, and a dash of kink.
